The Agentina Girl is kind but the Company is mot serious. 1-I had to check the entire car as it was full of small damages not present in the contract (at least 10 not registered before but noticed with their personnel), I lost about 40 minutes to take all pictures and send them by email, I also insisted to have papers with the drawing of the car with all the damages with their stamp and signature. 2-when I returned the car back the guy tried to charge me for one of the damages I claimed when I collected the car... luckily I had the picture and the email and he accepted my claim. They are always trying to do that! So I suggest everyone to check the car before collecting and force them to declare the damages before you leave.
the vehicule was perfect but finding the emplacement of the sixt's agency was very hard... the google pin location is not correct (not accurate - the right location is inside the train station). the agency should put more indications in the parking for customers to find the agency because we had to ask in the parking to competitor's agents where it is located (no one from sixt's agency was in the parking) and even then we struggled in the station. the same way no one was waiting in the parking when we returned the vehicule hence we returned the key in the Sixt's locker box but we were not sure if we had to do anything else and no one was here to check the vehicule's condition when we left.
I booked through Ryanair who allows payment without physical credit card. The booking was with another supplier who didn't allow me to get the car as when I arrived there their conditions were different to Ryanair's website . I had to cancel my booking and rented with Sixt. With them everything was easy, and their conditions matched with Ryanair's offer, accepting physical and online credit card, also Maestro debit card. I won't rent with any other company.
The fees are literally a scam, they dont check the car, I left the car full with fuel and in time and still got penalized. The main problem is that the lady suggested me to leave the car key in the express delivery box and board my train, you cant trust people thse days...dont hire at sixt
Car was ok and return worked easily but the horror started afterwards. We were charged extra for one day wrongly although we gave back the car before 10 AM they wrote 13:57 on the invoice. But that's not all: They also charged us for fuel although we returned the car fully fueled. After I send the customer service an E-Mail to fix this they told me to prove that I returned the car on time and fueled without delivering any proof that we didn't do so. Once I sent them the receipt of our train tickets and the gas station, they said they would reimburse us. They removed the gas and the extra day of the invoice and reimbursed us for that but still kept the service charge for refueling on there so some more mails were needed and I still haven't got this money back. So watch out to not get scammed here!
The people in the office were really nice and helpful... but It's the worst and chaotic train station i ever met. The entry to the parking is not in the arrivals...neither in the departures, meted to search for it. Of course no way good signals to find it. When you arrive, if your are lucky and find someone in the parking, ask for the proper exit...or you will end in in a labyrinth of endless corridors. As a quick summary, from my point of view, the Top-3 most confusing, chaotic and worst signalled train/bus station or airport i ever met (i have been in nearly 100) I would avoid as much as possible a rent in this train station in the future. Sixt failed to informe me upon booking that I needed an international drivers license issued by AAA. A rubber stamp document from a private organization. EU does not recognize state issued drivers license from USA. This resulted in a 250EUR fine that I had to pay cash on the spot to the police officer and fortunately he let me drive it back to the rental agency rather than to have it towed.
