Europcar Zaragoza Train Station in Zaragoza

Fantastic team

We rented a car from A Coruna, where the service was wonderful, the car was great and everything as promised. However, when arriving to Zaragoza Delicias to return the car, we spent an hour circeling the station trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. Absolutely no instructions anywhere, calling the company lead to nowherr and even finding the office took a good while as it was hidden in the basement. After receiving lackluster instructions from the personnel, we were able to find the specific spot to drive and leave the car at. Mind you, we found the drop zones for every other rental car company without even trying. The sign for Europcar was miniscule, hidden away on a bus lane and not something you would ever spot while driving on a busy four-lane road. The person receiving the car in the parking garage was super nice though and the only reason for second star. I have nothing against Europecar as a company, but this particular location was horrible.

Poor customer service, the car didn't have enough coolant, which we had to buy, the car didn't have any screen wash, which we also had to buy. Then they wouldn't accept photos of the receipts as proof of purchase, so we've extra spent money to ensure the car was fit to drive. If they don't check simple stuff like this it makes you wonder about everything else Furthermore the customer service lady doesn't even know the protocols when it comes to renting cars, they wouldn't look at my UK paper licence despite it clearly saying on their site that they accept them. Luckily my friend could drive otherwise we'd have had a complete disaster. We will be using a different company next time anyway, I've rented several times from europcar with no problems but this time was enough stress. There are other rental agencies at the station to choose from, and that would be my recommendation

Many thanks to RENTCAR for promptly resolving our booking and providing a replacement car. Despite a small fee for the change, we were satisfied with the substitute. Emphasizing the importance of safety, we recommend everyone to thoroughly check the car before the trip. Be attentive, cautious, and, of course, take care of yourselves. Appreciate the professionalism! Additionally, please note that the R&Car office is located on the - 2 floor at the railway and bus station. This detail is crucial as finding the office on the ground floor can be challenging; no one seems to know where it is. The office is situated on the - 2 floor.

Very easy to pick up, upgrade was no problem.

The car was in perfect condition. Staff was very friendly. However, it took us a lot of time to find it. Same problem to return it, the indication given by the staff were not right, the Google maps location does not lead to the bus entrance for the parking.

They first wanted to sell me an upgrade for 10 euros per day. I declined. Then suddenly it was only 5.50 per day. I thought my rental was 4 days (which I also confirmed with the person at the counter) summing up to 22 Euros. In the end, it was 5.50 plus taxes and 5 days instead of 4 (because of a later return time on the fourth day), so it was > 50 % more for the upgrade than I thought. Not a nice way to start things off. The real disaster was when I tried to return the car, though. The return parking spot is just impossible to find coming from the city. I circled around Delicias 3 times, tried out all signs to the bus parking (which they told me to) or the station without finding a way to get to the right level. I even parked the car and headed to the office but there was no one there. They provide you with GPS coordinates which are just useless since they are in the middle of the street I was cruising around anyways. I had to get on the highway and approach Delicias from there in order to find a sign to bus parking that they showed me when renting the car. Then I tried to call Europcar's national hotline but their service hours apparently don't extend to quarter past nine on a Tuesday... I rented Europcar cars many times in several countries and I never had problems like this. If you rent a car there, make sure to plan in time to return the car, maybe try to find the route right at the beginning. Absolutely ridiculous that they steal the time of their customers by being too lazy to take care of this problem. There are so many ways they could do to make things easier for their customers. Have printed out instructions in the car and at their office. Have the parking coordinates as favorites saved in the cars' navigation system - in my car, not even the station itself was found by the car ("Train station Zaragoza-Delicias" lead me to Goya station). Put up signs to guide people, there are not even proper signs right at their parking space. They must have problems with this every day and are not doing anything against it. Unbelievable...

Europcar office is located underground, same level as train (you will not be able to see it from outside). To access you have two entraces (both are signed as only allowed to BUS).
