This is a great rental, and I rented multiple times. The folks in the office are very courteous, and especially I wanted to recognize Ivan. All terms are acknowledged and the gentleman who actually does the checking and checkout is through and sends all the pictures by email. This is how a rental office should be and I hope other rentals across the world learn from here
Took forever once I got there to do whatever they were doing in the computer. No English but I speak Spanish so it was alright. He charged me for the right insurance but then almost had me sign the wrong insurance coverage. You can probably find better prices and better customer service. The car was also dented when we got it so made sure to take pictures of all the dents at the moment of pick up. I love hertz in the US but this was a bad experience renting a car.
WARNING!! TERRIBLE Customer Service - made a pre-paid reservation online for a Suburban. Based on their online system, the vehicle was available. Based on other reviews, I decided to call in to see if they actually had the vehicle that I had PRE-PAID for and as it turns out, they didn't. The lady that answered the phone proceeded to request a copy of my driver's license and a secondary piece of identification be sent to her via the very secure (sarcasm) WhatsApp app before she could confirm that she'd be able to secure the Suburban that I had paid for. Instead of providing all this sensitive info, I asked the lady to call the other Hertz locations to see if they were going to be able to satisfy my reservation. She said she would and would call me back. She never called me back. And, each time that I tried to call them back again, they sent me straight to voicemail. I proceeded to cancel my reservation on Hertz's online system and my bank is now investigating a possible fraudulent scenario.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. They are thieves. We were quoted $70/day for a Nissan Xtrail. They did not have the car we reserved and gave us a Dodge Caravan Minivan instead. They charged us almost $1600 for a one-week rental! Charged us for the upgrade (which was their issue, they did not have the car we reserved available), charged all kinds of extra coverages that were never discussed or agreed to...they even charged us a "hotel fee"...this location isn't in a hotel. It is across the street from a hotel. Total scam. STAY AWAY!
We booked a car via Expedia where the insurance was included. Arrived at the office and the person in charge mentioned that the insurance did not apply and sold us on another insurance coverage. The price of the car ended up being 400% more than it was originally accounted for. We had plans for rent the car for more days (as we needed it), but decided to rent it only for the day and then rented elsewhere for the following days. Other customers in line were changing their travel plans for the same reasons. Furthermore, at the time of payment they could not cash or debit, and the only form of payment was credit card with a charge of 5% more. The customer service was very poor. We will not be booking there ever again.
At the counter, I made it very clear that I wanted to know the final price of the car for one day of renting. It was going to be $73 as a total. When we returned the car, they took three days to return the security deposit. The final balance was $100.66. I tried to contact them by the phone number I found on the website. It was impossible. They hung up my calls, but before this, there is a message that informs you that you can visit a website for claims. The website does not exist. Finally, I found a way to make a claim. I am still waiting for an explanation about these charges. I think all of these were made with premeditation. It is a pity that this company has such low standards in this city.
This place is a scam. I reserved a car via Aeromexico contract with Hertz. The daily car rental was on 250 pesos. They added multiple extra fees and charges that we ended up paying 10 times more. ( yes i have the receipt and I can share it with you) One of the stupid charges was 360 pesos for hotel access fee!!! The rental place is not even in a hotel. It's across the street from A hotel. I don't recommend this place especially when you don't speak Spanish. The English knowledge level is Zero.
I made a reservation for an automatic car. When I arrived, they had no automatic cars. They put me on a waitlist and told me they would call back two hours later. Not only did they never call me back, the 800 number did not work to contact them. I ended up physically going back to the office with the hopes of finding either an automatic or manual car. At that time (only four afters after my booked reservation pick up time), they had no cars left. Avoid this place.
