I rented a car for a day back in November. I did this through the concierge at nearby Secrets. I was a bit worried about picking the car up after reading the reviews but everything was fine. I don't speak good Spanish but had no problems dealing with the owner. The rate was very cheap for the day and drop off was simple. Insurance was included so no need to worry about being charged after drop off. The car was fine. I would recommend.
We came to rent a car to travel around the island for a few days. We say hello in Spanish then speak English to him. I explain to him that he speaks too quickly in Spanish, his response was "here, we are in Spain, we speak Spanish" (in Spanish of course) unfortunately for him I understand a little Spanish. I guess he's not interested in tourist money. Really rude, never saw that behavior before...
well, despite some bad reviews here, I must say that my experience was fantastic... Of course you gotta catch the guy at the right time, which was not the case the first tiime. I told him I come back in 20mins, made a few jokes with him before talking cars. And then I had a great deal and all was done within 10mins....
I wish I read the reviews before coming here. I can't believe some one would dare speak to customers that way. I phoned a range of times in the morning to say we wouldn't be on time but there was no answer. We arrived, still within working hours of the branch and was scolded at completely refused to speak English despite obviously fully understanding what we were saying. Spoke faster and meaner. Said the computer is off so he can't do anything, let me remind you, the branch is still open! Eventually we got the keys for the car but we were not told where it is or anything about it the safety instructions or how to return the car. Avoid his horrible human being unless you want your holiday dampened by some horrid person. I am taking this feedback back to the resort which often recommends this branch and did the booking for us.
I would give zero if I could. Terrible service, unfriendly, unhelpful, and generally not interested in getting us a car. Was told on Friday to come back Saturday, then no cars available only one big Volvo . Awful. Went back a day later, Sunday, after booking on line, different person and very friendly, Daniel was excellent
We wanted to hire a car and we were ready to pay. The gentleman running the place made us wait shuffling some papers and typing on his computer without greeting us. He didn't look at us or say anything to us. We waited a few minutes, as we were deciding to leave he grunted something to us. We decided not to give him our custom, someone else can have our Euros. So rude. He obviously hates tourists and finds customers to be an inconvenience to him! Avoid if possible.
The most unfriendly and arrogant staff ever. I don't even know where to begin. We rented a couple cars over our stay on the island. The service for the first pick up was already bad. The guy was able to speak and understand perfectly english with the customer before us. It was our turn and he only spoke Spanish.... The second time we picked up a car he let us wait for nearly 10 minutes in front of his office... he saw us, looked at us but ignored us ... The last day we came to pick up a 9 seater. Reservation was for 8am. We got there at 10 am. And he went in full "teacher mode". Reservation was for 8am bla bla bla We can recommend the company but we cannot recommend this office.
Very good value but mediocre service. The member of staff running this branch opened the office 20 minutes late post-siesta. Speaking to other customers, this was a regular occurrence. He was also rather impolite and unhelpful. However, the car was in decent enough and excellent value.
