Centauro Car hire Murcia international airport in Valladolises y Lo Jurado

Terrible experience. Booked car on line and for some reason had my booking refunded which I did not ask for so under the impression I was still booked and received a confirmation email a day before pick up to say my rental was ready. Got to airport no shuttle turned up so after a wait for about 1 hour in the hot sun and no show had to book a taxi to get to office. Same for another couple who had booked with them. Got to office to be told my rental was cancelled so had to book again and cost more. Told me they would look into it and got a call a day later to say original booking cancelled but no explanation. Had to give taxi receipt and got that refunded about a week after drop off. The car was full of damage. I am a gold member so not sure how you get treated if your not gold status. Shocking start to a holiday. No offer of water or a seat in the office while the sorted things out. Definitely do not recommend this company

What a super friendly and professional organisation. Picked up from the Airport in a branded yellow bus and droped to my waiting car at the office - no delays. Car was perfect. No navigating out of the airport as we were straight onto the mororway. Fuel deposit refunded on the same day - no funny tricks that some other car companies try. Highly reccomended.

Booked online, pre paid for fuel & used the fastkey option & I always book premium. Mini van from outside the airport, transfer time 3 minutes! As my option was fastkey I went inside to the locker, scanned via camera the qr code following instructions on my phone the locker door opened, key dropped out & off we went. The car was right outside & took less than a minute to locate. I would recommend this option for peak season travel. Time total from airport pickup to driving away in hire car less than 10 minutes. The car was pre-checked & documents sent to my email. I hired a fiat 500, perfect size for my week's stay, we did have no luggage only a rucksack each. Great little car for the two of us. On return we filled up the fuel at the station nearest the airport &was surprised how little was used! Pulled into the returned area of the car park, handed the key over & off we went in the minivan back to the airport again a process that took approx 5 minutes. The fuel deposit was returned to my card before my flight had left. Most importantly to note, the staff are very professional, polite, friendly & extremely helpful.

Courtesy bus is very frequent, rental company offices are only a few minutes away. Process to rent car very efficient. Wide range of cars and all clean and reliable. Return was very simple and car condition confirmed immediately and fuel refund processed immediately. Some people on courtesy bus had used Centauro from Murcia on a number of occasions and were very positive of their experience. Our experience confirmed their views so Centauro will be our car rental company on future golf trips to the Murcia region. Absolutely first class.

Excellent service at Murcia airport! I was wary of booking car hire off the airport, but the minibus service was excellent and the driver was so cheerful and polite .. she was an absolute delight! This is our second Centauro hire in Spain this year and I would thoroughly recommend it. We paid a bit more for their enhanced hire (can't remember the name) and it was so worth it, as you don't have to worry about any insurance 'extras' , and the whole process is super smooth. Well done Centauro!

We've been using Centuro since 2006 and this was our worst experience of using them. Firstly they didn't use a queuing system for those waiting to pick up their cars and instead called out random names for cars to be allocated. My husband's name was never called out, even though he is a Gold Member! After 1/2 hour he was able to approach the desk. We were allocated a car, which turned out to be unwashed! My husband was furious by this point so I had to go to the office to report the problem. The staff member came out with us and tried to persuade us that it had got dirty overnight! It was a dark coloured car and I pointed out that the other dark coloured cars were clean. We were allocated another car and finally left about an hour after arriving at the car hire offices. Add that time to the time waiting for the bus and the time travelling to the off site office. We will be shopping around for our trip in August.

I was dubious about being unable to collect at the airport, however, the shuttle bus was excellent and we were at the depot in a few minutes. The car provided was immaculate. As I had taken out separate full insurance, I wasn't pressured into taking the high premium insurance that is often forced upon you upon collection. The return process was completed in minutes and to my satisfaction. I will be using Centauro again for both personal and business rental in future.
