Blue Pacific Car Hire were really good to deal with. They have a good website and respond quickly to emails and phone calls which meant I could have everything booked well in advance. Our car was punctually dropped off and picked up from our accommodation in Apia. It was a lovely suv which made our trip around the two islands very comfortable. They also provided our temporary licenses and ferry tickets. I would definitely use them again.

Blue Pacific Car hire were excellent to deal with from start to finish. I made an initial enquiry online, and communication via email after that was good. Our car was almost brand new (500miles on the odometer) and excellent to drive. They delivered the car to our resort on the South Coast for a reasonable cost (less than airport pick up) and also organised our ferry tickets to Savaii and temporary Samoan drivers licences. We could not fault their quality of service or the vehicle provided in any way. The only advice I will give is to book early to avoid disappointment. Thoroughly recommend to anyone requiring a hire car in Samoa. If I could give 6 stars I would.

We chose Blue Pacific to hire a car for a 7 day vacation in Samoa and were very pleased with the quality of car and service we received. Blue Pacific provided a new Hyundai Stargazer that suited our needs, two temporary licenses and airport pickup and drop off. The pickup process took less than 10min and we were able to pay with Visa. The car was spotlessly clean and was perfect for our needs. The drop off process took less than a few minutes. The price was very competitive. Blue Pacific Car Hire are probably the best hire car operation in Samoa. One of the few, if only, hire car companies that have a working website. Made it very convenient to hire the car we needed for a weekend via the web. Ensuing arrangements via email and phone were friendly. Dealings in person(pick-up/drop-off) were equally just as impressive and professional. A class operation that sets them above the rest. Quality latest vehicles. It's no wonder they are highly sought after. Because of this, I would recommend making bookings in advance so you're not disappointed. But in saying that, they'll also try to find another solution for you if you can't find what you need from their fleet online. Being a first time visitor to Apia, I made a mistake in giving them incorrect directions to my drop-off location. They were very professional and understanding and didn't kick up a fuss about it. Would be my first choice for a hire car for anyone needing it in Apia. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

Generally a very positive experience, but was charged 72 tala at the end for a tank that was very nearly full (I filled it on my way to the airport from Apia). Apart from this a good experience but I did not appreciate being heavily overcharged for fuel at the end.

These guys are awesome! I collected after hours (and was running late after being held up in customs) and it was still no issue to the team. Very easy to deal with, professional, really friendly, great with communication prior to hiring and during. The vehicle was exactly what they said it was when we collected, very reliable for my family of 8, in great condition, nice and clean, excellent aircon (which is so important lol). I was not expected to clean inside or out, just fill and remove the rubbish which was really helpful when you are on a mission with your family on holiday! Vehicle had a loose driver seat that would wobble due to a rusty bolt, non-functioning seat height adjustment, quite dangerous floor mats that easily slit around the footwell on the drivers side, and a spare tyre that was completely bald. When we returned the car they tried to charge us a cleaning fee that was nowhere in the rental agreement. When we said we wouldnt pay it they said they would just charge it to our credit card on record anyway. When we threatened to report them to Hertz and Mastercard for fraudulent charges they eventually backed down and said they would tell their manager we were refusing to pay the cleaning fee. Will be complaining to Hertz and watching our credit card closely.

Booked Hertz which turns out to be Blue Pacific Car Hire. This did result in a few overlapping emails and a sense that the two systems were not particularly well synchronized (e.g. multiple queries regarding pick-up time but answers over-looked and/or not duplicated in both systems) but in reality that did not cause any problems. Was offered multiple alternatives for pick-up venues and arrangements. In the end, we were early for a pick-up at the airport but they sent someone out from Apia to sort it all out with no hassle - excellent. The car was a Hyundai Creta, perfect for the Samoan roads as a higher clearance is an advantage! Dealt with some of the rougher, nastier bits with ease. Very frugal with petrol. Drivers in Samoa very courteous. Slow speeds 30kph in villages, 60 kph on the open road so you need to adjust your travel time expectations accordingly. Not a lot of petrol stations about and a bit hard to spot so be alert. Friendly reception at drop-off - very efficient, checked over the vehicle with the staff member, all recorded with photos. Highly recommended.
