The office that you do check-in is now located 2 blocks outside Puorta Nuova Station, in Via San Secondo 9. After check-in you go back to Puorta Nuova Station to pick-up the car.
I walked all around porta nuova and I couldn't find the place. There are no contact numbers where I can call and ask for directions... I found sixt instead (in porta nuova)
Those people are thieves. For some obscure reason, I was forced to subscribe an awfully expensive insurance for a car (150EUR for a day and a half of rental) that barely worked and was never contacted again by the customer service when I submitted a complaint after my trip. The sales representative were unprofessional and agressive, in short it is a rip off on all levels. If you somehow care about your mental health, I beg you not go there. Take the train, the plain, go to the competition or even stay at home, your wallet and nerves will be thankful.
I did not hate the place, but the service was awful. First I was forced to subscribe full coverage insurance because I had Italian passport and British driving licence, spending three times what initially planned. Then the car had starting problems... This can happen, but it took 1.5 HOURS to talk with the emergency operator. 1.5 hours under the July sun in Turin with a six year old child. I'll never rent again from them.
I rented my car from Malpensa and returned it here. Everything started nice and smooth, but the troubles started after my holidays when my credit card was charged an extra 105 euros. I had a booking via Rentalcars and already paid for the rental. At the desk my credit card was charged with one way fee as I was returning my car in Turin and extra 50EUR in case I return the car with empty gas tank - everything that I had already considered. When I had returned the car and was back home, I was charged extra 100EUR, which Rentalcars started investigating on my behalf. It turned out that Maggiore charged extra from me for taking the car a few minutes before the time written in the booking and also for late return. The office at the Turin train station had written my return time 4 hours later than it actually was, and therefore I was charged for an additional day, although the personnel at the desk confirmed that I was there in time. A total scam and currently it doesn't look like I can do anything to get my money back as Rentalcars is saying that it is between me and Maggiore. AVOID!!!
Car was dirty when I got it. The guy was helpful and told me all I wanted. The condition of the car did not correspond well with the condition. It had done only 11,000Km, yet engine was knocking on every gear. I think they tamper meters. Took it because it was the cheapest.
Very unprofessional, education and politeness does not mean much to them. Signs with wrong directions were posted around the station. I was given a very dirty car both inside and out. Would recommend to stay away from this Maggiore branch. Good luck if you booked with them.
Don't hire car without excess insurance. They blocked 1200 euros on my credit card and this money will be released in a month!! The operator does not know the rules. Better to go to another trusted company.
