Excellent staff, easy rental. Kind of an awkward parking lot and drop off, but if you listen to directions it's no problem.
Amazing experience at Hertz. I was a bit worried since it was my first time visiting Torino and I don't speak Italian. However, as soon as I walked into the office, the lady at the counter welcomed me with warm greetings. I had to wait a few minutes because there was a customer ahead of me, but the wait time wasn't long at all, and the price was exactly the same as I had booked. The return experience was good as well. I definitely want to come back here.
Bad experience! I rented a car on Hertz webpage for Hertz Porta Susa. We had a very disappointing experience from the arrival at the counter, the lady at the counter was not interested neither in being there, nor providing a good service that in other countries at Hertz I have encountered. I thought going "safe" for renting a car with Hertz but when we got to the counter the lady in the counter was on a phone call for at least 20 minutes and did not even greet us. We were waiting there at the office and the lady did not even bother to ask us to wait or apologize for making it. I had to approach her to show her my driver's license and ask her what documents I needed to show her. In general very rude attitude and felt very unconfortable. She mentioned that my license was not acceped in Italy, nevertheless I have driven with it in the USA, Portugal, and other European and non-European countries with no problems. She accepted and made us feel that she was doing us a favor. At some point she suggested to go to another enterprise to rent a car. BUT do to our urgency and plans we needed a car. She agreed to rent us the car with full and extra insurance. In the end, I paid the double of the price I was meant to pay and felt disapointed about the attitude, rudeness of the lady and overall the bad experience. I would not rent at Hertz anymore.
This is the worst Hertz branch in the world.I drove to France from Italy and I got sicak because I have high blood pressure and sent an E mail Hertz Turin telling them that I am sick .. I was bringing back the car but French police stopped us on the highway and got the car because Hertz Italy slandered and told the police that we stole the car. We stayed in the middle of the highway with there luggages. We called a taxi and found a hotel. I will definitely sue you. You Hertz family may be thief but I am not and you can not call anybody thief you god damn cruel liar..
Terrible staff, who didn't event want to be there. We wanted to make a booking, but they wasn't even interested, and sat with crossed arms eating potato chips. They were unpolite, and said that we should just make the booking online... They said the insurance alone was 200 EUR, and that it would be really expensive for 3 days even for a small fiat Panda... We later just booked via another company for only 85 EUR... Great way to loose customers.
The worst experience with Hertz I ever had. Unpolite staff who really did not want to resolve a problem I had with my reservation and finally charged me more than I was expecting for just 2 days. This plus giving me a small Fiat Panda for almost USD 300.00 for 2 days !!! I will never came back to this place !!!
The worst attention I received from a rent car ever, irresponsible car company, didn't provide all the necessary information that's required when you rent a car, they didnt told us what kind of gasoline we should have charged on the car, and when we warned them they replied that 'it was our responsibility to ask'. We rent cars very often and always the companies give us all the information we need to know, we asked to speak with a supervisor and the employee told us that 'she was the supervisor' and after insisting repeatedly she call her supervisor, so the employee was lying to us. A disrespect. We rented the car 1 week ago and we're still waiting for the gasoline to be refunded. They told us that we could return the car in the morning AROUND a certain time without being specified with the schedule, and when we got to return it (twenty minutes later) we were charged 1 whole day more. Really bad attention, disrespectful, and rude. And we are still waiting the call from the supervisor.
I only rent with Hertz and so far this was the WORST experience. When picking up the car the lady at front desk gave us the keys and said we would find the car downstairs - but once we get to the lift we saw that there were 3 parking floors! After asking and finding the car, we couldn't get out of the parking garage! She also forgot to tell us that we would need to come out of the car, go to the office and ask someone to lift the parking barrier! Luckily there was no car behind us. The car was dirty outside and difficult to really differentiate scratches from dirt (and parked in a dark covered garage!). It was full of scratches, in all sides, and this was indeed mentioned in the damage report. They only forgot to mention the cigarette smell! On the 3rd day we had to call the assistance because the battery was discharged, the tow truck didn't take long to arrive and do a jump start. I really appreciated the service of the tow truck driver, and it was also Easter Sunday and we were in a small village. When returning the car to Hertz we mentioned the battery issue, the employee (Mario) then tried to turn on the engines and it didn't work again! We were so lucky that the issue only happened on return, otherwise we could have missed our train. But the worst is yet to come...after 5 seconds looking at the car Mario managed to find a small scratch in the front windshield - and that the whole windshield had to be replaced for a fee of 361 EUR! I really doubt that scratch required a full windshield replacement, and I'm also impressed how quick the employee was able to find the scratch given that the car was obviously dirtier than when we picked up! We tried to explain that we didn't really pay attention to the windshield when checking the damages during pick-up, since the car had scratches everywhere, and we didn't recall having any stones thrown against the windshield. Mario even said that the car was new since it only had 15000 km. Sure! It also had a faulty battery, hundreds of scratches and a cigarette smell... In the end, my insurance refunded me for the windshield replacement, but I just wanted to share the poor experience and discontent I had with this Hertz branch.
