SolAuto Rent a Car in Torrox Costa

I had an outstanding experience with Solauto Torrox. The staff was incredibly helpful, providing me with all the necessary information and making the rental process simple and efficient. The car I rented was in excellent condition and surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend Solauto Torrox for an exceptional car rental experience

Local and friendly car rental company. Rented twice car from here, first 7 day rental that I reserved online before the vacation, all went well besides that airline changed flight departure so my handover greeting was missed. Returning the car was small hickup when sundays the office was closed in torrox, so I returned the car the next day as adviced by the company. Second rental I needed car for 1 day and directly booked car from torrox costa office. Friendly worker made the reservation easy. Return was quick and without any hassle. Not all local rental car companies are bad, atleast this is not from this experience.

The day before rental I got an email with double price! Absolutely rip off despite reservation more than month in advance Not recommend! Be careful! Reviews from 4 years ago are great but obviously last year wasn't. Highly not recommended

Update: As you can see in their reply, they don't speak english at all and they don't know how to say even in Spanish "We apologize for our incompetence!" They are always late. They are late when you pick-up the car. They are late when you have to return the car and you risk to loose the airplane. They asked for 500EUR deposit at pick-up, but it was nothing written about this deposit in the reservation. They told me that they will return the deposit in the day when I return the car. They returned the deposit 3 weeks later. Most of their employees don't know english. I don't reccomend this company and I will never rent cars from them again. I will draft a complaint to the consumer protection authority.

We intended to rent a car this week at SolAuto for our holiday. The booking went very smooth and the customer service was very helpful and reacted almost immediately. A few weeks before we would arrive, we had to change the booking which was no problem at all, again the customer service was very helpful. A day before we would have leaved to Malaga we had to go into quarantine because a roommate had covid. We could not travel to Spain and we had to cancel the booking, which was no problem at all. I am very satisfied with SolAuto's customer service and will definately rent a car next time when we actually go to Malaga!

Eva was great explained everything regarding the rental, which was a good price, she took lots of pics of damage don't forget to take your own as well, the full insurance was not over priced and is always worth taking, will update when I take it back... The messure of a good car rental place. Took the car back and again quick service as easy to drop off as it was to pick up so changed my score to a 5. Deposit refunded as we left the car, as always with refunds took 3 days to hit the account

We have for several years used SolAuto and had no problems until June this year. Arrived at airport, no one there. Eventually contacted them, but strange it was an outfit called Irentacar. The car we were due to have had a duff battery so brought a replacement, which we picked up in car park opposite airport. The manager said it was ok, tyre pressure light on but it had been checked. Paid, left deposit, agreed discount as we'd had a long wait, took nearly two hours so didn't get to where staying until 3 in the morning. We'd taken out full insurance as well. Two days before returning the car, we accidentally scratched it on a rock coming up the drive and thought well we'll sort out at Airport. What a mistake that was. Got there, dropped car off tried to explain to greeters what had happened, they just said fine, no problems and it was ok to go. Two days later email from irentacar re damage and a day later estimate repair bill for over 400 Euro's which quite frankly considering the knocks and dents the car already had, they were not going to do the repairs at all and unlikely to have cost that much. So they took the cost of car (no discount although been agreed), the 200 Euro deposit and insurance, and the extra for repairs Off credit card at a cost of nearly 700 euros!! Yes we had insurance but as no accident report or police involvement, and as we had delayed telling them, they couldn't claim on insurance!! Total sham and we found other amounts taken from credit card we know not what for. Naturally we are investigating but buyer beware. This company when purely SolAuto was indeed exceptional but not now, use a reputable company.

When they rent a car they said that there are Total insurance that cover all cases. But when I scratched the car, they claimed that it is "complete damage" (car is not stop and can drive) and due their rules I have to pay for all days they will repair it. They can't answer what is term "complete damage", and why they want repaint it for 20 days (tariff without insurance is 8 euro per day). Also they can't say why I hire scratched car with damaged interior but have to pay for repainting my scratches. So it seems to my that it is such business model of SolAuto.
