RentalPlus Malaga Torremolinos in Torremolinos

We have rented cars from various companies across different locations, and this experience with RentalPlus stands out as the worst. I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the car rental experience provided by RentalPlus. I strongly advise against using their services due to the deceptive practices we encountered during our rental. We had chosen the highest level of insurance coverage offered by the company, including the comprehensive collision insurance. Despite this, upon pickup, we were unexpectedly required to pay a deposit, and the entire car was thoroughly photographed. This process was not a standard procedure in the numerous other car rental companies we have used before. The vehicle itself showed signs of wear and tear, with visible scratches in various places. Unfortunately, we also experienced a minor incident in the narrow streets of Marbella, resulting in a scratch on the rear door. Given our full insurance coverage and the assurance provided at the beginning of our rental, we believed that such minor damages would not be an issue. To our dismay, not only did they refuse to refund our deposit, but they also demanded an additional payment of 450 Euros. Communication with the company proved to be challenging, as they only communicate in Spanish, and their responses via WhatsApp immediately escalated to threats of legal action. I strongly caution anyone considering their services to explore other, more reputable options to avoid falling victim to such unscrupulous practices. This type of business conduct is utterly immoral and deceitful.

Insurance fraud! We had a similar experience as a few people have written here. After returning the car, the rental company texted me on whatsapp that they would not refund my deposit and also demanded 450 Euro for damage to the car. I have rented a car many times and full insurance is always full insurance! But here they tell me that I caused the damage and that this is not covered by the insurance - so what is it for? On their website for this insurance they say "Plus insurance without excess - Do not worry about the franchise it's free. This insirance will not have any additional cost for you, it is included in the price" When we rented the car, we wondered why we even put a deposit of 150EUR - we were told it was for petrol. We made sure we wanted full insurance and the lady agreed to everything. She then gave us all the contracts in Spanish. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

The service is good until you return you car. In our case they charge us 150 euro for duty car. We were renting a car for two months, and of course it wasn't clean to rent it to the next costumers, but there wasn't nothing extra to charge so much. We needed to left it in garage an hour before the office opens ( our train was early), and it was a mistake that cost us 150 euro. The other very unpleasant thing was that Cristina called in an hour and told that she wouldn't return a deposit at all, because of dirty car ( the deposit was 500 euro - can you imagine my choke! ) It was unprofessional, we were talking by phone for a half an hour, and she didn't want to hear me. After she just sent me the check of return 350 euros.

Thanks to Cristina for her professionnalism. Everything was perfect. We recommand this agency for your next car rental. Next time we go back to Torremolinos we will call you!

Very good service from Cristina.The rental car was clean,modern and new.The price was more competitive than what I would have paid at the airport.I had absolutely no issues and would rent from this company again.

Terrible service. Fraudulent practices and lack of professionalism. Run away. I don't understand the good reviews, maybe fake ones ?! Be careful. Already the second company that, once on site, tells you that the car you have already paid for is not available and that in order to get one, you will have to pay hundreds of euros more. You are really swindlers. I don't recommend them at all. You will lose your time, your money and your peace of mind.

Watch out!!! SCAM!!! Reserved a car online, according to the site still available. Got a WhatsApp from an "employee", that the car wasn't available anymore. Can happen, so far nothing suspicious. Needed to call the office, to make reservations for a different car. Ofcourse the more expensive one, they won't take responsability and compensate. While making the new reservation, they simply hang up on you, and when you finally get somebody to answer the phone, they tell you the second car has just been given to someone else. Thanks guys, for making double reservations on my creditcard, and delivering nothing!
