It's always a pleasant experience dealing the staff at Optima. From the moment we arrive to the short drive to pick up our Car. Thank You Viry - Andrea & Vivi you always get more for your money with a smile..
Very nice staff. Vehicle was newer and well kept. Is best to book directly thru them. If you book online make sure you check your dates and times three times, they have a no refund policy. You can change the dates within 6 months if any cancellations, but no refunds. Also the price you pay on line is not your total. You have to buy an additional coverage at the office when picking up your vehicle. Our total for a small SUV for 7 was $680 for 5 days. They also charge a deposit for about the same amount, we where told we should get it back with in 7 days.
Areli y Lupita are the best! They offered amazing service at pick-up and drop off. I had a flat tire and the team came to the rescue in a timely manner. Definitely recommend.
Had paid for a service on Priceline and it was the absolute worst with American... they didn't even show to pick us up. Walked inside and Optima gave us the best price! Really glad we switched companies! ...super quick shuttles to the airport terminal too!
All the stories you hear about doing negotiations prior to arrival via phone or online just to get a different price or an increase when you get there, well this is the place. I wouldn't say all of the staff were terrible, the driver that picked us up was great and the lady who met us once we arrived, excellent. Wasn't until we got to the Optima office that are experience turned awful. As soon as we got in this lady was already trying to increase the price, I remember comments like "that bag won't fit in the car you choose, with an additional fee I can get you a bigger one." No thanks I'll be fine it's just myself and my girl. Then, "oh well the car came back with damages you are going to have to wait 2-3 hours unless you want the bigger car." How about, "I have to charge you $20,000 pesos deposit since you're going with the basic coverage." The supervisor wasn't helpful either, eventually I left and requested my deposit back since I was going to cancel, and of course "non refundable." Just excuses after excuses and they stole my money, if you're wanting a pleasant experience definitely don't go through this company.
Open 24 hours and Staff is friendly and helpful and walking distance if you are in a rush. I recently (August 29 - September 2nd) rented a Nissan March 4-door from Optima Rent A Car and had a positive experience overall. The process to both obtain and return the vehicle was incredibly easy and straightforward, which I greatly appreciated. For the economical price I paid, the car was a good deal and met my needs perfectly. The only thing I found a bit high was the deposit requirement. However, considering the peace of mind it provides at the end of the rental agreement, it seems reasonable. I would definitely consider renting from Optima Rent A Car again in the future.
First time with this company, excellent service, fast, they recommended for you to take video prior to taking the car. We did just that. Friendly staff: well taken care of vehicle. Just make sure you fill the tank. Highly recommend them. We can't complain.
