No clear explanation where their office is Google info showing they work at the airport until 10pm. The office was closed, people telling us to go in the basement, there was a small cabin closed too. No guiding sights. Spend one hour with all the luggage, wondering where to look for their office. Soooooo unprofessional for the size of the company.

Very unreliable and unprofessional. We booked a car online, but they wouldn't give us the car when we showed up at the airport because we were not American? We paid 65EUR online and the person at the desk was very unhelpful, not trying to help us. They said they would be able to give us a car but only for 200EUR. I think it was some kind of scam. He told us we should call the customer hotline and they will give us our money back but we didn't. Go to "Orlando Rent A Car" instead.

We had a great experience with Europcar when selecting a rental car. The staff at the counter was exceptionally friendly, gave us clear explanations of everything, and offered us the best car at a reasonable price. Although I couldn't remember her name, I wanted to personally recommend the staff member who helped us. She was very accommodating, reserved the car for us, and made our trip to the Canary Islands enjoyable. It's worth noting that not all rental companies in the Canary Islands allow you to take the car on a ferry to other islands, but Europcar is one of the few that does offer this option.

It was okey, but not the best overall. Positive: The size of the car was okay. It had a charging socket for the iPhones (for the like older models). Negative: We got the car with with scratches. The staff did not check the car when we returned it back to them.

A realy good experience.(out of top-season). Pick up was fast and easy (I filld out pappers in advance online). The car was clean and new. Returning was also fast and a good experince. No extra charges were added or even discussed (I have extra protection via my creditcard). I rented via europcar.com

DANGER!!!! Scam! DANGER !!!! Unfortunately, I have to say that even one star is too high a rating for the service location at Las Palmas Airport. I rented a rental car here in October 2024; the booking was made in advance on the official Europcar website. Booking included fully comprehensive insurance and one-way transfer fee, as we wanted to pick up the car in Gran Canaria and finally return it in Tenerife. All costs were paid in advance. When we picked up the car, an employee greeted us and started the conversation by saying that there was a problem with our booking. Apparently there is an additional fee that applies because we want to use the car on several islands (Gran Canaria, La Gomera and Tenerife). There was a long discussion (half in English / half in Spanish) between us and the employee in which we expressly said that we didnt want to pay any extra fees! After researching this alleged fee on our smartphone, which was supposed to be a kind of toll, we confronted the employee, whereupon he clearly stuck to his statement and assured us that we were not the first customers to experience this error undermined. At the same time, he said that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would he be able to give us the car if we didnt pay this fee, because if we ignored it, the police would stop us and give us a heavy fine. Although we said that we would be happy to bear this risk ourselves, he refused to give us the car. With no alternative, we reluctantly paid the extra fee to maintain the vehicle. Subsequently, it turned out that we paid for an additional support service. Back in Dusseldorf we sought advice at the Europcar counter there. An employee looked at our bill in the system and told us behind closed doors: You have been ripped off! I am ashamed of such employees, please complain to customer service and request a cancellation of the options booked under false pretenses. We did this immediately. Our request via email was rejected by Europcar after two days on the grounds that we did not have to agree to the contract. It is incomprehensible to me how a company so carelessly rejects such requests and thus scares away customers by basically accusing them of lying.....I will definitely never book with Europcar again!....Because a company, I no longer want to cover employees who take advantage of the emergency situation (there was no possibility for an almost three-week trip or to spontaneously book a car with another provider at a price less than twice as high) by vacationers immediately after arriving at the airport support. I have to say it so clearly: This is highly dishonorable behavior and I have never experienced anything like it in my life!.....Luckily!

Buchung inklusive Vollkasko und One-Way Transfergebuhr, da wir den Wagen in Gran Canaria abholen und schliesslich auf Teneriffa zuruckgeben wollten. Alle Kosten wurden vorab bezahlt. Bei der Abholung des Wagens begrusste uns ein Mitarbeiter und begann das Gesprach bereits damit, dass es ein Problem mit unserer Buchung gabe. Angeblich gabe es eine zusatzlich zu entrichtende Gebuhr, die anfallt, da wir das Auto auf mehreren Inseln (Gran Canaria, La Gomera und Teneriffa) nutzen wollen. Es ergab sich eine lange Diskussion (halb auf Englisch / halb auf Spanisch) zwischen uns und dem Mitarbeiter, in der wir ausdrucklich sagten, das wir keine Extragebuhren bezahlen wollen! Nach einer Recherche am Smartphone zu dieser angeblichen Gebuhr, bei der es sich um eine Art Maut handeln sollte, konfrontierten wir den Mitarbeiter, woraufhin dieser klar bei seiner Aussage blieb und uns versicherte, dass wir nicht die ersten Kunden seien, denen dieser Fehler unterlauft. Gleichzeitig sagte er, dass er uns unter KEINEN UMSTANDEN den Wagen aushandigen kann, wenn wir nicht diese Gebuhr entrichten, da uns bei Missachtung die Polizei anhalten und uns eine hohe Strafe in Zahlung stellen wurde. Obwohl wir sagten, dass wir dieses Risiko gerne selber tragen wurden, verweigerte er uns die Herausgabe des Wagens. Da wir keine Alternative hatten, bezahlten wir die Extragebuhr widerwillig, um das Fahrzeug zu erhalten. Anschliessend stellte sich heraus, dass wir eine zusatzliche Support-Leistung bezahlt haben. Zuruck in Dusseldorf suchten wir Rat beim dortigen Europcar-Schalter. Eine Mitarbeiterin schaute sich im System unsere Rechnung an und sagte uns hinter vorgehaltener Hand: Sie wurden verarscht! Ich schame mich fur solche Mitarbeiter, bitte beschweren sie sich beim Kunden-Service und beantragen sie eine Stornierung der unter Vortauschung falscher Tatsachen gebuchten Optionen. Dies taten wir unverzuglich. Unsere Anfrage via Email wurde von Europcar nach zwei Tagen abgeschmettert mit der Begrundung, dass wir ja nicht in den Vertrag hatten einwilligen mussen. Es ist fur mich unbegreiflich, wie ein Unternehmen so leichtfertig solche Anfragen abschmettert und damit Kunden vergrault, indem sie den Kunden quasi eine Luge bezichtigt.....Ich werde jeden Falls nie mehr bei Europcar buchen!....Denn ein Unternehmen, das Mitarbeiter deckt, die die Notsituation (es gab keine Moglichkeit fur eine fast dreiwochige Reise noch spontan ein Auto bei einem anderen Anbieter zu einem weniger als doppelt so hohem Preis nachzubuchen) von Urlaubern direkt nach Ankunft am Flughafen ausnutzen, mochte ich nicht mehr unterstutzen. Ich muss es so deutlich sagen: Das ist ein hoch unehrenhaftes Verhalten und sowas ist mir im Leben wirklich noch nicht untergekommen!.....Zum Gluck!
