Sixt in Tarragona

My rental experience with SIXT in Spain was excellent!!! The SIXT employees I was dealing with in Tarragona, Alicante and Barcelona were very polite, well-trained and Highly professional! NO any complaints or remarks. Your company offered me a few different options to choose from, and I was really satisfied with the service I received from your employees. GREAT JOB!!!

They will always find something to charge you. Do not recommend this agency. Never again

Charged me 164 euro for a pre existing minor scuff to an alloy. I checked car at pick-up but missed it because was so hard to spot. They clearly had missed it too. Only after returning keys at end of hire did their inspector see it and so they think it must have been caused by me. I only drove the car 30km and am 100% sure it wasn't caused by me. They would not listen to my explanation and threatened late payment fees if I did not pay for the repair by a deadline - be warned....

Awful. I would give them no stars. Don't touch them with a barge poll ! I phoned to get a quote and to check availability for a booking for the same day. I then called back and made a reservation with a second agent, again checking availability, as it was to collect immediately / a half an hour later. The Sixt customer service agent then emailed me confirmation of the reservation and this was provided at the pick up office where to our suprise Jamie in Sixt Tarragona then wanted to charge 20% more on pick up , (alleging that the category of the car that was booked wasn't available). If this happens due to their booking error / lack of availability normally the car hire company give you the next level of car that is available. The telephone customer service team wouldn't do anything and neither would Jamie at Sixt Tarragona. They refused to respect the booking and to provide a car at the agreed price or provide official complaint sheets. I would strongly recommend that you avoid using Sixt : they are not a serious company and try and lure you to their offices to then charge whatever they feel like . Avoid like the plague. No es una empresa seria. Evitar. Sino cuando llegues para recoger el coche que has reservado te van a cobrar lo que les da la gana , no el precio pactado en la reserva. Tampoco querian facilitar las hojas de reclamacion. Servicio al cliente lamentable y sin solucionar nada. Terrible.

In general Sixt Car Rentals are usually good. I booked a car to collect at Barcelona Airport. I had to travel 45 minutes in a cab to collect the car at the Port of Barcelona. In general it does provide value for money when booked through a third party.

Disappointed with the surprise package being no surprise at all. What is the point of offering a surprise when it doesn't exist. In fact the agent tried to up sell the upgrade from base level Audi Q3 when I could have booked it cheaper knowing I was going to get a Q3 at minimum.

Other rental operators had lower prices but once you added the extras it was actually more . I was upgraded and price was fair no BS . Highly recommended.

Two day car rental at this city centre office. Great customer care service. Staff well train to take care of planned and unplanned matters. Very helpful employees to solved parking problem and to retrieve forgotten glasses. We were very thankful. Car was 100% as expected. 10/10 score. Highly recommended!
