Where do I start. We had a verbal agreement with the owners staff. Lovely lady had the car for 3 days. While filling up the car upon return. I Understand we were 20 minutes behind schedule that's our fault. Take full ownership of that. But now The owner ( small man syndrome) comes flying into the petrol station slammed on his brakes. jumps out of the car started yelling at me telling me to get my bags out then claims There's a scratch and it's gonna cost EUR1000. We got him to calm down. They then drive us back to return the car. He then just tried to stand over us and intimidate us into paying ridiculous amount of money. For a scratch we didn't do . I asked for photo evidence of the car before he couldn't provide anything, went back into his shell, then continued to say that he was going to get the police. Tried everything he could to get more money. He's a scam. He's lucky we had to get on the ferry in 30 minutes. Otherwise it would of been dealt with correctly. And he would of put his turtle neck into his shell. He took our deposit. Then sent us a bill of EUR179. We read his policy then sent him and email back saying he owes us money as the late fee didn't add up to the total deposit. Never heard from the hot head again.
We rented a small car for three days the lady who served us was quite nice and helpful. However the owner tracked us down and violently approached us explaining that we owe him X amount of money and for us to get our bags out and leave us stranded at the petrol station. Understandably we were 15 minutes late at this time we were cleaning and filling the car up with fuel. We felt very unsafe, and this is no way a businessman should treat tourists in another country. He threatened us with the police and intimidated us into paying more money. Would not recommend stay as far away as possible from this hothead.
Sous les conseils de notre hotel, nous reservons un scooter pour 9 jours ici. Premierement, l'equipement n'est pas adapte aux usagers (casques trop grands). Le scooter presente des defauts et ne correspond pas aux caracteristiques decrites lors de la location. Lors du rendu du vehicule, le vendeur nous retire 33EUR sur la caution pour un impact sur le casque (un caillou a tape dedans alors que nous roulions, ce qui a fissure le bas de la visiere deja bien abimee vu les nombreuses traces sur le rebord). Le casque etait deja completement fragilise par bien d'autres impacts au vu de son etat lors du pret. Un conseil : faites des photos au moment de la location ou vous vous ferez avoir comme nous ! Ne parlant pas bien espagnol, nous n'avons pas pu nous expliquer. Nous avons ete honnetes de montrer cette casse, ne nous sommes pas pleins des defauts du vehicule, et nous aurions pense beneficier d'un geste commercial apres 9 jours de location. Par ailleurs, vu le peu d'amabilite du vendeur, nous ne reviendrons pas.
Under the advice of our hotel, we book a scooter for 9 days here. Firstly, the equipment is not suitable for users (helmets too large). The scooter has defects and does not correspond to the characteristics described during rental. When returning the vehicle, the seller took EUR33 off the deposit for an impact on the helmet (a stone hit it while we were driving, which cracked the bottom of the already damaged visor given the numerous marks on the flange). The helmet was already completely weakened by many other impacts given its condition when loaned. A word of advice: take photos at the time of rental or you will be fooled like us! Not speaking Spanish well, we were unable to explain ourselves. We were honest in showing this damage, did not focus on the vehicle's defects, and we would have thought we would benefit from a commercial gesture after 9 days of rental. Furthermore, given the lack of friendliness of the seller, we will not return.
Nunca es tarde para una resena. Rentamos un coche en mayo. La atencion del dueno espectacular. Nos recogio de un punto y nos llevo hasta el coche. Muy amable. Lo recomiendo 100%
It's never too late for a review. We rented a car in May. The owner's attention is spectacular. He picked us up from a point and took us to the car. Very kind. I recommend it 100%
Reservamos un coche de 7 plazas, al llegar nos ofrece un 5 plazas por el mismo precio q habiamos reservado el de 7 plazas el cual no nos va bien y es un absoluto timo. Un trato pesimo incluso rozando la falta de respeto. Nos cancela la reserva devolviendo el importe pagado y aqui seguimos tirados en el puerto, su frase de despedida ha sido "buscaros la vida". Seguramente despues d este comentario respondera negandolo todo como ha hecho con los demas comentarios negativos o exculpandose con cualquier falacia. No comentais el mismo error q yo, no le creais.
We booked a 7-seater car, when we arrived they offered us a 5-seater for the same price that we had booked for the 7-seater, which is not good for us and is an absolute scam. Terrible treatment, even bordering on disrespect. He canceled our reservation and returned the amount paid and here we are still lying in the port, his farewell phrase was "find your life." Surely after this comment he will respond by denying everything as he has done with the other negative comments or exonerating himself with any fallacy. You don't make the same mistake as me, don't believe him.
Todo perfecto! Fue el unico lugar sin precios abusivos, donde la atencion es familiar y el alquiler incluye todo lo que necesitas (seguro a todo riesgo, gasolina lleno-lleno, segundo conductor incluido y sin fianzas de ningun tipo). Muy recomendable!! Si llegas al aeropuerto hay que tomar un bus hasta Ciutadella porque no tienen recogida en el aeropuerto, pero vale la pena!
All perfect! It was the only place without abusive prices, where the attention is familiar and the rental includes everything you need (comprehensive insurance, full-full gasoline, second driver included and no deposits of any kind). Highly recommended!! If you arrive at the airport you have to take a bus to Ciutadella because they don't have a pick-up at the airport, but it's worth it!
Fast and Friendly. Car for one day cost 40 euro with full insurance (Fiat 500).
