We visited here to get a new step and the slider part for the locking mechanism of our fridge. While there, we also bought new enamel tops for the burners on gas hob. The accessories and parts stock is huge. Parts that are often difficult to sourse are readily available. Mario, who speaks perfect English, was very knowledgeable and super helpful.
Dropped in to ask about change over from English gas on motorhome to Portuguese. AmaIng service. Alexander was extremely helpful finding the parts and checking that all was working correctly. Thank you very much. Brett
I can only assume, after reading the other Mcrent Lisbon reviews, that if nothing goes wrong after pickup that the service is good. In fact, our pickup in April 2023 was good enough, this being our 8th Mcrent motorhome rental to date. Our problems started when the supplied toll road transponder did not work in Spain where the majority of our journey happened, something that they failed to highlight. I requested that the contract for the transponder be cancelled as I was paying a daily fee for something I could not use but received a point-blank refusal. Unfortunately, the camper keys were lost/stolen in Barcelona halfway through our trip and this is when their customer service was almost non-existent. Apart from the initial response when this was reported, what followed was a 'don't care' attitude. Unfortunately, they did not have a spare ignition key so a new one had to be ordered from Fiat Italy with a 10-day lead time which was to the day before our flight home. There was no communication from them other than when we phoned or emailed them. They made no attempt to help us salvage our holiday and even refused to help when I requested an extension to our booking. The first communication initiated by them was to suddenly offer us an extension to our booking 2 days before our flight and a day before the ignition key arrived. This I'm sure was only done to save them the cost of recovering the vehicle themselves. Suffice it to say that this was too late to make the necessary changes to flights etc. and we had already started to make our own way to Lisbon for our flight, our holiday ruined. The insurance deposit which we signed for was taken off our credit card in the following weeks, but we did not receive any invoice, statement or report from them related to this. They also took off two additional unauthorised amounts without any communication or explanation. After much communication through Motorvana (our rental agent), we received the insurance deposit information 1.5 months after the amount was taken and over two months from the end of the rental from the Mcrent Head office in Germany. To date still waiting for the confirmation of the other amounts and still no communication, apology or explanation from Mcrent Lisbon.
Great service; very helpful and friendly ladies at the reception (Raquelle, Corinna and Monica). Camper was in perfect condition. This is the second time we had a good experience so highly recommended!
Nao tem respeito com cliente me fez uma marcacao para um mes depois para arranjar o Arcondicionado Andei 90km para deixar a caravana la quando cheguei la falei com Funcionario Mario que me fez a marcacao ele muito educado mais o chefe faltou o respeito com ele na minha frente e disse que ele nao tinha que marcar nada nesta altura para arranjar Arcondicionado e que o Arcondicionado nao tinha peca da dometic mais e si eu estivesse interessada parar o substituir o Arcondicionado por outro novo para ganhar os 1.400EUR que queria pelo novo Arcondicionado! Atencao o Arcondicionado ja de uma caravana 2015 que tenho ! Entao liguei para assistencia da dometic e ha sim todas as pecas para o Modelo do Arcondicionado! Inclusive o compressor e filtro ! Enfim uma falta de respeito com cliente em ambas parte !!!!! E com funcionario que la trabalha !
Has no respect for customers, made me an appointment for a month later to fix the air conditioning I walked 90km to leave the caravan there, when I got there I spoke to employee Mario who made the appointment for me, he was very polite but the boss was disrespectful to him in front of me and said that he didn't have to book anything at this time to fix the air conditioning and that the The Air Conditioner no longer had a Dometic part and if I was interested, I would stop replacing the Air Conditioner with a new one to earn the EUR1,400 I wanted for the new Air Conditioner! Pay attention to the air conditioning in a 2015 caravan that I have! So I called Dometic assistance and they do have all the parts for the Air Conditioning Model! Including the compressor and filter! In short, a lack of respect for customers on both sides!!!!! And with an employee who works there!
After more than 3 years, still pending part of the refund of safety deposit. Very bad service, absolutely not trustworthy.
Great service, I had to stop by without appointment with an urgent problem on 2 separate days, they were very accommodating and helpful. Resolved most of my issues, reasonable charge. Good professionals, recommended
BEWARE of Mcrent and its partners & franchise businesses (j.C. Parracho is one of them) All of them have the same dishonest policies. ifinf out yourself... read into reviews. Be prepared MCRENT will try to charge you with false trumped-up reasons and deduct it from your security deposit. The least you can take for granted is an ill-mannered customer handling. If any problem arise durimg your rental be prepared to take care of them yourself. If you complain you will be treated in an inadmissible way. For details READ FURTHER .... Their RVs are not well cared for .. serach the net and read other reviews too not only mine Rental stations across Europe are listed separatly and read reviews, observ rating in detail). Don't run into the mistake we run luring yourself into they they are reliable and honest. Our camping van had sinks completely clogged. The fridge did not work for 4 days. This is because the business did not give proper advvice, directions when handing over and did not help to restore the problems turning a deaf ear. After a ton af call and emails and basic useless advice, we had to take care of these problems ourself by seraching the web for long hours / days. We were not compensated for this shortfall despite having asked for. Obviously incopmetent and irresponsible handling was denied. We were taken for liars and idiots. When returning the van, they denied to make record about these issues and behaved in an inadmissible rude and unethical way. They did not, won't bother to answer our email requests for compensation. IN CONSTRAST they have returned 200 euros less from the security deposit giving fake, false reasoning. Once more.. read other reviews... Be prepared MCRENT will try to charge you with false trumped-up reasons and deduct it from your security deposit. .. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
