Fabio was such a professional - friendly, efficient, with a biggest smile when we returned the car. He is a great asset to Europcar. M Luz at pickup was great too . Overall, service and car are all good. Will return to Europcar.
Overall happy with he experience and the car. Also I had to return the car later than I planned, I called the customer service number and someone answered in 1min and extended my rental very quickly.

Very bad experience. Received a car with scratches and dents all over the place. Half of them were not marked on the contract. Had to go back to the counter and complain. The lady marked everything without checking, so I thought they don't care much (at least for this wrecked car). One scratch went all around (must have been done with a key) and it wasn't even on the sheet. When getting inside we saw that all seats had stains (from salt water) but we thought they don't care. When returning the car (in Bilbao) they suddenly cared - so I have to pay 1000EUR for cleaning the seats and repair of another dent which "was not marked before". Last time with Europcar.
I rented a car for around two weeks in July. Good service. The car was OK (some scratches were present when I took possession of the car but I took pictures, just in case). No bad surprises at the end when bringing back the car (e.g. charging for imaginative or very small damages) as can be seen in some bad rental companies. Without problem I could also bring back the car later than initially planned due to a flight time change. So, I am happy with the service delivered.
I am rather unhappy with this provider. Even though the staff was mostly very friendly, the company clearly doesn't care about their customer's experience. I was given a car with a damaged door, so that it couldn't be locked. For that reason it had to be swapped with another one. Someone confirmed this to me on the phone and asked me to go to the next Europcar office to request a different car, after which I explicitly asked them to please get in touch with them ahead so that it wouldn't take too long. When I got there, there had no cars available so one had to be brought in. By the time I got this car, I had already missed all my plans for the day, which is very unfortunate when on holidays. I try to be understanding of the circumstances, but then again I got as a replacement a rather old car. It doesn't have a high mileage on it, but it's been clearly around as a back-up for a very long time, so the technical features are far from modern and not worth the money I paid. All things considered, I would have expected a significant upgrade, to at least make the rest of my vacation more enjoyable, and I was very disappointed.
