Great car, seamless pick up and drop off. Perfect experience. Dropped off at different location from pick up which was really good.
Wasted over an hour as the initial car that was provided had a worn out clutch. Had to return the car to get a replacement which turned out to be satisfactory.
I am very disappointed with the approach of the young woman in Europcar at the train station in Santiago de Compostela. The woman first offered me just an overpriced car and said that they haven't another option and after I showed her different prices on their website, she started looking for this variant and offered me this price. She rent me a car that was damaged and MOSTLY WITH HALF OF THE TANK!!!! She wrote a full tank on their paper. She didn't check the car when the vehicle was rent. WILL NOT ACCESS!!!
These people are the absolute best! Such a relief to find that they have reopened, after the pandemic. I have been using them for years. They treat clients with respect and flexibility. The temporary closure of the regular entrance to the car park is not their fault (you now need to drive a bit further east down the Avenida de Lugo, and make a turn into the far entrance).
Lovely lady helped out today. Apologies forgot your name but you were amazing in making us feel supported despite my mishap. Would recomend this outlet.
They offered me a car with flat and consumed tyres (Skoda Fabia). I told them that it was not safe for us and after some discussion they gave me the only available remaining car (a Ford Puma) telling me that it was for free. At the end of the rent I was surprisingly charged 163 extra euros for this upgrade that I didn't want in the first place but was the only option to drive safely. They clearly don't have a safety culture in this company and they further try to scam you. I suggest to avoid them. I made a claim and still waiting for a response... zero stars so far Edit: they automatically replied me with a pre written message offering a link to their UK number and website but this problem happened in Spain. I'm not impressed.
Pretty poor service. We had booked a medium-size car as we were doing a lot of travelling. We did all the paperwork and were off to get our car, turned out it was a Fiat500. No mention of this beforehand. When we queried it he said that we would get a small refund when we dropped it off, though from memory this was less than the extra we had paid for a bigger car. We had to push to get him to agree to change it, he said it was difficult for Europecar as they had so many bookings but given it's their core business I didn't have sympathy for that argument. After going away for some breakfast and coming back about 2 hours later they had sourced a car for us, it was actually much nicer than the one we had booked which was the only redeeming feature of the whole process.
