Overall smooth and efficient experience. Quick service for pickup, the car overall was in good condition, only negative is the lingering smell of smoke. After Hours drop off was also easy. It would've been good to understand the overall rental cost upfront, as once the rental ended there was an additional 21% tax / tariff added. Thank you
Worst experience ever. Modified an existing booking because I could not arrive in time to make the contract and payment. Received an email from Alamo confirming my new reservations. Arrived at the office to be told that the car was released when I made the modification (in the Alamo system, the effect of modification is that the original booking is cancelled and a new one has to be made). How could that be? Was told that staff had already informed me that this would happen (the car being released), that they could not understand why I could still make the booking and that there was nothing they could not, nor would do. No empathy, no attempt to help. As far as they were concerned, it was my fault and I should leave their office to find my own solution. Alba and her boss, also named Alba, should not work in the service industry. They are a disgrace to the city of Santiago de Compostela. They seem satisfied to leave customers in a predicament and to solve problems caused by the Alamo booking system, the company they work for. Unfortunately, I can't give less than one star to post my feedback here. Additional feedback one month later: Immediately after my review was posted, there was a "Response from the owner" which asked to share my experience using the link, signed off "KB". I did so, only to be emailed back that they have sent my feedback to the manager (whom I complained against) who will reply to me directly. Two weeks later, I emailed them back about the status of my feedback and they gave me the same reply. How they manage their customer service is a pathetic and sad joke.
I'm a long loyal customer of Alamo/Enterprise, being serving airline staff, I've used the company problem free for the past 18 years. All until the day we met Raquel the check in staff at Enterprise Santiago De Compostela train station. A truly horrible experience from the harsh and abrubt 'hello' after making us wait for her to finish her 15 minute phone call, we were then told because we were 10 minutes late for the reservation collection that it had been given to someone else. I was left standing there in disbelief with my wife and 8 month old child, now wondering how we're going to tackle our holiday with all our luggage and little one in tow. Absolutely no apologies, no help, no pointing in the right direction, no information on other options. Just a very sarcastic good luck and hesitation to give me her name. Like I say after all these years of having to use a polite etiquette being airline staff using these services, we felt truly attacked with just pure rudeness, we understand everyone has their day, but Raquel definitely went to the extreme end of the spectrum, I truly hope the company thinks about some retraining as they're a superb company in general, but when staff hires like Raquel get through the web, they really have an effect of loyal customers like myself. I hope you use Alamo/Enterprise, just make sure that it's not her serving you, politely ask for someone else. Formal complaint process is being followed, just as an understanding of how this has affected us. Big fail Alamo.
Staff were helpful and car was suitable. The drop-off location infront of the store was very chaotic - if the after-hours drop off instructions were available on the website it would've saved us a significant amount of annoyance.
Avoid this rental office at all costs. I reserved on booking dot com the previous day, and went to collect the rental at midday to be told that they don't have the car. They had no other cars available. They didn't bother to call and tell me so I could make other arrangements.
While I saw that there were some complaints about this Enterprise office, our experience was 100% perfect. The office opened promptly at 8:00am, our car was ready in minutes, and the staff didn't try to upsell us. They were all pleasant and friendly. Returning the car was fast and simple (although navigating the one-way streets around the Repsol was a pain). The car had only 12k KM, and was spotless.
We had rented a car in Madrid and it was great. However, it developed a battery problem and the vehicle had to be replaced in Santiago. Rachel, one of the team members was outstanding and provided top level customer service. She is a great representative for Enterprise. I hope she can receive a compliment from her manager. Thanks again for making the process easy and painless.
I don't recommend this car rental office at all . Please stay away!!! The office does not have their own parking lot to drop off the car. You are asked to return the car to a public parking lot about two blocks away. No one from the company is there to receive the car, just a parking attendant who is not affiliated with the company. I dropped off the car in mint condition, and the next day the company sent me a bill for over 1000 euros for car damages I had nothing to do with. I feel totally scammed by Enterprise, and I am now in the process of disputing the charges and filing a complaint. (Please see also review by Tovar. This has happened before!) No one from Enterprise called me to inform me of what was going on. I just got an exorbitant bill via email. Just like that! Be aware, folks! Even though I have been a customer and an Emerald Member of Enterprise/National for years, and actually been quite happy with their services until now, I will no longer rent from them. I encourage all to do the same and avoid Enterprise.
