Llegamos al aeropuerto de Santiago de Compostela para soltar nuestro vehiculo de 9 plazas. Lo habiamos alquilado en Bilbao y tras 4 dias de una estupenda aventura por Asturias, acabamos en Santiago. Nos reviso el vehiculo una chica muy agradable y profesional. Lo soltamos sin ningun inconveniente y os aseguro que volveremos a utilizar esta empresa para alquilar otro vehiculo en cualquier otra parte de Espana. Cero problemas. Muchisimas gracias.
We arrived at the Santiago de Compostela airport to release our 9-seater vehicle. We had rented it in Bilbao and after 4 days of a wonderful adventure through Asturias, we ended up in Santiago. A very nice and professional girl inspected our vehicle. We let it go without any problems and I assure you that we will use this company again to rent another vehicle anywhere else in Spain. Zero problems. Thanks a lot.
Trato con 0 humanidad, reservamos el coche con Wisecar siendo todos menores de 25, teniendo incluido en el precio un sobrecoste por ello, y al llegar a Alamo nos dijeron que el coche que queriamos alquilar de 7 plazas no lo alquilaban a menores de 25, y nos quedamos sin coche nada mas empezar el viaje. No nos ayudaron a buscar soluciones a ello, nos mandaron a preguntar en otros sitios de alquiler y se desentendieron de nosotros. No alquilare nunca mas en ninguno Alama en Espana
Deal with 0 humanity, we booked the car with Wisecar being all under 25, having an extra cost included in the price for this, and when we arrived at Alamo they told us that the 7-seater car we wanted to rent was not rented to people under 25, and we were left without a car as soon as we started the trip. They didn't help us find solutions to it, they sent us to ask at other rental sites and they ignored us. I will never rent again in any Alama in Spain
I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Betania at the airport Alamo branch in Santiago, RD, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for her exceptional service. After forgetting my keys in the rental car, I encountered several representatives who were unable to help or guide me on what to do next. The GM (Cristina) never called me back nor had the decency of following up after receiving my info while Betania was on vacation. It was a frustrating experience--until I was fortunate enough to connect with Betania. Betania was the only one who truly cared and went above and beyond to assist me. She not only kept her word but also communicated with me consistently via WhatsApp and calls, ensuring that everything was taken care of. Her dedication and commitment to resolving my issue were unmatched, and she turned a stressful situation into a smooth and positive experience. Thank you, Betania, for your outstanding service and for being a shining example of what customer service should be!
Excelente servicio. Habiamos rentado un Toyota y nos hicieron un upgrade a opel astra Nuevo por el mismo valor para retornar en madrid. Todos las indicaciones y condiciones fueron cumplidas segun lo pactado y la fianza retornada. Muchas gracias a las chicas del aeropuerto!
Excellent service. We had rented a Toyota and they upgraded us to a New Opel Astra for the same value to return to Madrid. All instructions and conditions were met as agreed and the deposit was returned. Many thanks to the girls at the airport!

I read the previous reviews about them cancelling bookings (sadly after I'd already booked) so was prepared for issues picking up late. I paid the "late pick up" fee, gave them my flight details and phone number. It won't happen to me I thought. Narrator: it happened to him. Office closed, no phone call, nothing. My flight didn't arrive late, it arrived when it was scheduled (~11:30). The staff either don't care or this is an active scam to take your deposit and not have to hire you the car. And to add insult to injury, when I phoned the next morning they said "you didn't pick up the car, so we don't have a car for you". Absolutely zero effort to help me and no apology - "you'll have to go online and book another one" Seems a consistent experience from the reviews: if you're on a later flight they'll just go home, no attempt to look after you. Maybe they're ok if you arrive in the middle of the day, I'll never know because I'll never use them again. Next flight to Santiago booked, and I've booked a hire car with someone else.
Avoid Alamo/Enterprise at all costs. Had a disastrous experience renting a car from Santiago airport in July. We had a late flight arrival so I called the pickup office twice to stay open (a service they offer for a fee) and both times was assured it would be. Arrived to find it locked up, so was abandoned in a near-deserted airport with young and sick children trying to find a hotel at 2am in the nearby city. When I came back to pick up the car the next day, they had no automatic that we'd booked-was given a manual and just told to come back in a few days and see if they had one then. 3 days later they charged us EUR84 for switching cars to an auto (since finally refunded). We then got a bad puncture which clearly required a new tyre. Alamo/Enterprise breakdown assistance assured us mechanic would bring a tyre and repair-he didn't and took the car away, leaving us abandoned in the middle of nowhere and told to make our own way by taxi to the nearest Enterprise office for a new car, which when I finally got it, was manual again. EUR540 out of pocket for the puncture and charges for towing and storage, and an additional EUR300+ for hotels and taxis for leaving us abandoned. Have given them 3 weeks to address without any result, so here's my honest review. Never, ever again.
My partner ordered an intermediate SUV rental vehicle a week before our holiday through the Alamo website. On arrival at the ground-floor desk in Santiago Airport, the Alamo desk was closed with a sign directing us down to floor S5 (-5). When we got to the Alamo office, there was a lengthy queue to collect the rental vehicle. The woman who dealt with my partner was polite and efficient, and dealt with the paperwork in about 15 minutes before showing him around the car. We expected to get a Nissan Qashqai or similar for the intermediate SUV category, so were surprised to be offered an Audi Q2. The vehicle was in good external condition with only 3700km on the odometer, but the inside absolutely stank of cigarette smoke and took my breath away when we first sat in it. The car itself was the perfect choice for our family, as we have a 4-year-old child using a Group 2 car seat and he had plenty of legroom in the back, as did I as a passenger sitting alongside him. The car also had Android Auto and Apple Carplay functionality (with a compatible cable), which was really useful compared to the standard satnav. Returning the hire car was very easy and extremely quick, taking about 5 minutes in total. Overall we had a positive experience of using this company, with the only downside we experienced being the overbearing smell of cigarette smoke in the rental vehicle, which we struggled to get rid of despite regularly airing and ventilating the vehicle whilst we had use of it.
