Andre was amazing. There was something wrong with the systems and computers were down, I was really afraid the process would put a wrench in my day, but Andre and his colleague were prompt in creating a solution. They got me out in less time than I imagined and I am very grateful for that. I got the manager's special and the rental exceeded my expectations. Thank you and keep up the good work and positive attitude!

Everything was OK (the car did smell like cigarettes though) until they charged me 2 extra days past when I turned in the car and added other fees. They make it pretty hard to reach anyone by phone but I got thru w/ other menu options. No explanation as to why this happened and they did fix it, but from other reviews, seems like it's standard procedure, catching more revenue from people who don't notice?? They should be reported/sued. Also, don't use a frequent flyer number: they actually charge you to do so. The shuttle drivers were excellent.

Had such a wonderful experience! I encountered three young men one was named Andre and he was very rude, thankfully Alan was also there and came to my rescue and helped me out especially being from connecticut Alan was super professional and kind. I would definitely want to encounter Alan again!!! Props to Patrick as well he helped me with my luggage!

I rented a car to be returned at the La Fonda location, but upon arriving discovered it was permanently closed. That isn't this location's fault, but you know what is? Charging me $60+ in airport fees when I didn't choose an airport location and then refusing to refund it. Adding insult to injury, the employees here lied about the other location being closed just recently. There are comments from other upset renters at La Fonda from MONTHS ago for this exact same thing and Hertz is still allowing these closed locations to be chosen online. On top of the extra fee, I was charged two extra days I neither reserved nor used, Uber was charging $40 for a 15 min ride because there are no buses or shuttles from the airport, and a $100 hotel as I hadn't planned on spending the night, but it took the entire evening to figure out what I was supposed to do. Oh, and if you're looking for this place right now, and you can't find them, they aren't here, either. This location is two buildings over and there are no signs. Good luck, everyone.

100% incompetent. I'm a Hertz Gold member, and this is the worst rental experience in 30 years. Rented a car for two days. Returned on time. Location charged me $353 for a $99 rental. Had to dispute charges. Additionally, they did not close the contract after I returned the car, so every day another $100 hold was placed on my credit card. I had to contact Hertz corporate to get it resolved. DO NOT USE!

An abysmal experience yesterday. Although we (and about 15 other people ) all had confirmed reservations, when we landed, Hertz had no cars clean and on-hand to distribute. We waited nearly 3 hours for a car. The office was severely understaffed and completely lacked managerial support. No discounts or apologies were offered. Will never rent with Hertz again.

I can not speak on how great the service is there, have to understand how busy Santa Fe Airport is now. The manager Bernard handles things so professionally and with such respect. Clean cars and great service with such a busy airport cause Santa Fe has grown. Bernards staff is also kind, respectful, professional, and willing to help with any questions. I will continue to rent from this location for the service I'm given and seen people given.

Go with AVIS. Hertz dont work. Came to Santa Fe airport, 7 pm, no Hertz employees to be found. AVIS is open though and happy to be of service.

My experience here was quick ans painless. I didnt have to wait in line and I spoke with Bernard. He was very sweet and knowledgeable. Very pleasant. He gave me a free upgrade for my leisure vacation and gave me suggestions around town. The shuttle people and the older lady at the counter assisting him were nice as well. The only downfall was the hold amt which I was really surprised, it must have went up over the years.

After a crazed person at a Walmart in town threatened me because I used a parking space he had pulled past and I thought he was going to another one. He and later punctured the tires on my hertz rental while I was shopping. Thankfullythere were 2 witnesses, the security guard and a Walmart employee. The security guard got images and the guys license plate. Hertz towed the car and left me in the parking lot with no transportation. They sent a link for lyft, and lyft never came. I was left to climb into the cab of the tow truck with a driver who spoke little english and almost took me to a city about an hour away where hertz had decided to tow it. After more scary moments I got the truck driver to turn around and take me to my hotel. That night hertz roadside assistance left me with nothing. Today they did it all over again. I am 76 years old and disabled. I have a digestive disability and must eat a specific diet at regular intervals or my stomach bleeds. They have left me no way to go get the food I need. It is after noon and Im still stranded at my holet and having stomach pain the proceeds a beed. The supervisor Sienna refused to get a lyft or other temporary transportation to anf from a restaurant. I will hire the best legal team I can find and sue. The reason Im in this town is because my boyfriend is hospitalized after a heart attack and may not live much longer. The way hertz treats paying customers is OUTRAGEOUS.

Instructions on rental give a number to call for shuttle pickup when you are dropping off. No one answers the phone. Had to walk from the remote parking lot to the terminal with all of my luggage. Shuttle was parked and driver was chilling in the break room. Spoke with them about it at the front desk and they didn t care. Will never rent another vehicle from Hertz at any location.

They didnt have the car we paid despite me calling twice to confirm...so it really screwed us because we had to get a very expensive cab for a 2hr ride to where we were going in the dark. Then another 3hr round trip the next day to resolve this situation which impacted our plans. The manager Bernard did come through within 24hrs and made it right after I contacted him directly.

I frequently rent from Hertz because of the wonderful service typically provided by your company. Unfortunately, my experience renting from your location in Santa Fe Airport has been nothing short of horrific! I pre-paid for what was supposed to be a 4-wheel-drive SUV large enough for a group of 5 equipped with a ski rack. I upgraded, spoke with someone to confirm that a ski rack was available, and ended up with none of the above and an agent unwilling to do anything to help. I was told that they dont have ski racks and was given a car far smaller than promised that barely fit two of us with ski gear. I was told that no larger vehicles were available despite numerous more suitable ones that were present on the lot, and it was like pulling teeth trying to secure a second car. Andre, the man who checked us in, was a brain dead, unhelpful idiot who told us to just come back tomorrow (we are at an airport trying to travel to Taos ). He was barely willing to even call his manager in an attempt to help us. We finally ended up with a second small car at a slightly discounted rate, but it had alignment issues. My friends returned to the lot and were given a second car that had garbage in it, smelled like smoke and obviously hadnt been cleaned or sanitized. Finally, an hour later, the third car they were given was acceptable. No apology, no discount, no help. Just wasted time and incredibly frustrated clients given less than the bare minimum. I am infuriated by Hertzs lack of help and inability to even try to rectify an issue that is entirely Hertzs fault. Why was I told that ski racks are available when they arent? Why did you charge us double for a car basically the exact same size as what we initially booked? Complete bait and switch! Why werent we offered a larger vehicle when numerous ones were in the lot? And finally, why were we charged for a second vehicle when we werent given what we paid for? I am infuriated!!! None of this is acceptable and your company needs to do something to make this right! Our car cant even handle snow! Why were we given such a crappy vehicle when I made it abundantly clear that we were heading to a ski resort??? I would appreciate your prompt response.

Did not get a minivan I reserved months in advance but instead a small suv that cannot accommodate my family of six. I was still charged the same price. Whats worse is that they gave me a car with no tread left on the tires. I happened to get one flat tire, and the tire shop said it was dangerous to drive a car that had no tread left on all 4 tire and had all 4 tires changed out. Also no spare tire in the trunk! Not acceptable to give out a car like that in santa fe especially with kids and infant in the car.

Would give zero stars if possible. We showed up from Albuquerque, got out of our Uber, were ignored by the man at the desk to then be told that they actually didn t have a car for us. Horrible customer service and super unreliable. Absolutely no notice whatsoever. Don t book with them.

Myself and several other people flew into the Santa Fe airport only to be told our RESERVATIONS couldn t be fulfilled because they oversold. Why allow people to make reservations then? The excuse I received was because it wasn t prepaid for but the negotiated contract they have with my company doesn t even allow me to pay for it ahead of time. The employees at this location are a complete joke.

My experience with Hertz at Santa Fe Airport was absolutely appalling. They failed to honor my reservation, provided no alternatives or assistance, and worst of all, did not even bother to inform me in advance. This complete lack of professionalism and consideration completely ruined our plans. I wouldnt recommend Hertz at Santa Fe Airport to anyone.
