Car7 Rent a Car in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

This was the only rental company who offered us a car when we were looking for one, and for a very decent price. Nothing fancy, but really we would have taken just any - to have something on our holiday. Return to the airport for a small fee was really convenient. Thank you.

Avoid! They're scammers. We rented a citroen c1 and drove up to Roque de la Muchachos. At the top it was freezing, so we decided to leave the car for 1 minute to have a very quick look and therefore didn't turn the car lights off. One minute later, the car didn't start. When we called them it was immediately clear that this was a common problem, and based on other reviews the dying battery was a recurring issue. We didn't believe it at first because no half-decent car battery dies after just 1 minute. At first they told us to fix it ourselves (no jumper cables in the car), on top of a freezing mountain with just tourists who also didn't have a jumper cable. After 1.5 hours on a freezing mountain they finally arrived to solve it, but they had the audacity to blame their crappy battery as our responsibility ("we left the lights on for 1 minute") so decided to charge us EUR 50,-. Whilst we didn't agree to this, they still charged the EUR 50,- from our creditcard. We've been in touch with them via email multiple times to dispute the claim, but they have ignored all our emails. In the end we managed to get the money back through our creditcard provider after filing a formal complaint of a wrongful charge, but never heard anything from Car7. All in all, bad cars, and even worse customer service.

Easy to book, friendly lady at the front desk, no hassle at all, well-priced and very honest. I forgot my power bank in the rental car and they've really put a lot of efforts in an attempt to reunite me with my power bank. But I'd already left the island.

10 am I walked by the office to ask for a car. I told the lady that we're gonna have lunch and pick up the car at 2 pm. She said no problem. 1:50 pm we get there and she says, no cars available now. We are closed. Are you kidding me?

Popped in when on island for 1 day and the gentleman kindly sorted a car for us. We worked well together through the language barrier, and we was very sweet and thorough. As we hadn't pre- booked, he asked we wait for 30minutes for him to clean car, but we inspected and it was already pretty tidy, so we took it straight away. Usual car hire procedures, nice and simple. I'd recommend booking in advance if possible as we took the last car they had and whilst it wasn't the newest, or flashest- we don't care- it got us all over the island and at a great price! Would highly recommend- and the nearest car hire to the port too.

Horrible experience! Our car stopped working and they didn't help us! They refused to give us another car or to pay us back for the damages! I'm not paying for this company ever again!

Great service for a great price. Even though our flight arrived earlier the friendly lady of the rental company was already waiting for us at the exit of the airport arrivals hall. Administration and payment were handled very fast. Good communication by whatsapp and phone. Can definitely recommend.
