At the beginning, reading all these negative reviews I was quite scared to be honest. However, I booked the Key&Go package with full insurance directly from their website. I was given a car that had some scratches and bumps but after I went back to the office and said that the car was not in the best conditions, they offered to change it for me and gave me a really nice and new one. We enjoyed our stay in Ibiza and the car was easy to drive. I returned it at 6 o'clock in the morning(outside of the working hours) and left the key in a special box and that was it. The deposit was returned after a couple of days. Staff was friendly and polite.

Very average. Car was banged up all over. Every panel had damage that they hadn't logged on the sheet took me 15-20 mins to fill it out correctly. They then photocopied my version and signed it without checking. Every panel including the roof had damage. The car wasn't clean I couldn't even see out of the front screen and had to pull over to clean it as no water in the washers. The car also felt very sluggish it struggled on hills unless you turned air con off. Unfortunately the rental team gave me the impression I was going to be charged. They made it hard to trust them. This became harder as a day or so in to the rental I got an email with the damage form I had supposedly signed for and it wasn't the one I signed. It was the one with hardly any of the damage marked. Trust was well out of the window by then. The car went back with no extra damage ( in fact it was cleaner than when I picked it up) and a totally full tank of fuel. The lady who looked over it said it was fine and to sign there pad thing. I asked if I would get an email certifying this, she said yes in 2-3 days. This was 4 days ago but nothing yet. On the plus side the car was very cheap less than PS10 a day also my credit card hasn't been charged yet. It's a shame they made me feel uneasy as the car did the job for a good price. I would probably use them again. My tip to anyone is go over the car with a fine tooth comb before you take it. Document everything and take photos and videos. Do both these on delivery and collection. Make sure you refill the car to the absolute top getting every drop of fuel in you can.Then let the staff know and show them the extent you have gone to. You should be safe if you do this

positive was that it was a more luxurious car than I had reserved. It was really annoying that the engine of the car had not been checked properly before delivery. A light on the dashboard came on twice due to engine problems. The first time that the coolant level was too low and the second time that the engine oil level was too low. Because of this I had to make extra costs for engine oil and coolant. Finally, I found it annoying that I had to tick all the scratches and dents on a form myself. The car had a lot of small damage. Jammer, met dit soort service kom je niet verder.

Very misleading. Booked via DoYou Spain. Including insurance. You will then not (first) receive your car if you do not take out extra insurance because DoYou is a broker and, according to Goldcar, this does not apply. They then indicate that the car has no damage and you receive a car with a broken windshield wiper, broken parking sensor, dents and scratches and not cleaned inside and out. All in all, it takes a lot of stress, energy and time before you get your car and your holiday is not off to a good start. Never again.

Very polite and friendly lads. When I picked up the car, I was worried about the large deposit of 1,400 euros, but after returning the car without damage, the deposit was returned in full. We were upgraded to a Ford Kuga hybrid car, and we were very satisfied. Regarding the fact that people write about the fee for additional cleaning of 35 Euros, try to clean the car yourself from sand and dust. I spent a lot of time and 25 EUR at the car wash and could not completely clean the car of sand.

My previous experience with Goldcar in Majorca left me deeply dissatisfied. Despite their claim that my credit card was malfunctioning, subsequent verification with Barclaycard proved otherwise. They insisted on charging me an exorbitant fee for using my debit card instead. This time in Ibiza, I anticipated their tactics and arrived armed with two credit cards. However, upon inspecting the rental car, I discovered far more scratches than indicated. I diligently recorded these and ensured they were noted in the contract, believing I had outsmarted their scheme. Yet, upon returning the vehicle, they imposed an additional EUR35 fee for minimal sand residue, claiming it necessitated "special" cleaning. Efforts to secure a refund have been fruitless. It's evident that Goldcar's pricing is deceptive; they invariably find ways to levy extra charges. This seems to be their modus operandi. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs. They operate unscrupulously. Enclosed are photographs substantiating the condition of the car, which clearly shows signs of heavy use before my minimal deposits of sand.

Hidden fees. Just be very aware if booking specifically Goldcar through DoYouSpain or other third party, in your voucher you ll see a whole hidden section of fees 3 pages into the small print of the contract under Other - airport surcharges 13%, supplement charges, etc etc. it goes on. It is ONLY goldcar that adds on these hidden fees with third party bookers. The other companies don t do that, so rather book with them. The hidden fees charged at pickup ended up being the same as our entire rental booking, so we paid double. (Also every time we ve picked up with them the cars have always been very very dirty inside as if they only clean the outside). Go elsewhere.

I rented a car for a week and the very young girl who helped me at the airport explained all the coverage to me and I opted for the super relax coverage to avoid any worries and everything went without incident and I only had to return the full tank. Real scammers watch out. Rented a car. No additional inssurance. Payed 1400 euros deposit. Handed the car back at 20-10. Signed no damages etc. Now 3,5 weeks later still no refund of the 1400 euros. Allready contacted them twice via Phone. But you get the general excuses of system issues causing the delay. I also attached what is shared on there website on the deposit refund period. It usually takes till 48 hours except for Portugal up till 15 working day. But this was in Ibiza not Portugal!!.

Hello, I would like to express the dissatisfaction with this company for poor management of car rentals in the administrative matter of the Tenerife office and the policy they have for the use of their vehicles is very bad compared to others. But above all, this negative assessment goes to the girl who helped us at the airport because she very persistently scared us for not taking the comprehensive insurance with them, ensuring that the people there if they saw that you had a rental car would give it to you. Pero sobre todo esta valoracion negativa va a la chica que nos atendio en el aeropuerto al meterte miedo de forma muy persistente por no coger el seguro a todo riesgo con ellos, asegurando que la gente de alli si veia que tenias un coche de alquiler te lo iban a rayar o robar durante la estancia, ademas de contarte otras historias casi de terror de otros usuarios. Al final no la hicimos caso y nos salio bien pero pasamos una mala experiencia. Sin duda desaconsejo alquilar un coche con ellos y si lo hacen vigilen bien el contrato y no se dejen llevar por las ofertas tan baratas que tienen ya que les puede salir caro con empresas de este estilo que a la minima te cobraran por lo que puedan. GOLDCAR HAVE STOLEN MONEY FROM MY CREDIT CARD AND REFUSE TO RESPOND TO MY EMAILS. Goldcar emailed me a report detailing damage to the vehicle which they accused me of causing and have charged a late return fee for the vehicle. I have provided evidence of pre-existing damage to the vehicle which was stamped and certified by a Goldcar member of staff prior to the collection of the vehicle. I have also provided evidence of the vehicle being returned ahead of the contracted return time of 11pm, only to find their office had already closed and our only option being to return the keys in the dropbox provided. Goldcar have not responded to any of my emails containing photographic evidence to support my claim.

Not the first time, but will be the last. Similar to several of the reviews here: I have been charged for damage to the wing mirror that was no recorded on departure. I had then a gas tank penalty of 50 for leaving the car back 60% full, and an additional 52 for the gas (which would be 20 at most). They tried to upsell me insurance for 90 when I got to the desk, even though I had already bought fully comprehensive prior. The lady at the desk wouldn t take a debit card at the desk, told me the car was new, that I didn t need to do a check on it (it had 6000km on the clock) etc. etc. The total additional charge was 288 today on my card, in addition to the c. 300 for the 4 days rental initial charge + 90 insurance. Interested to see if anyone responds here @GoldCar
