At the beginning, reading all these negative reviews I was quite scared to be honest. However, I booked the Key&Go package with full insurance directly from their website. I was given a car that had some scratches and bumps but after I went back to the office and said that the car was not in the best conditions, they offered to change it for me and gave me a really nice and new one. We enjoyed our stay in Ibiza and the car was easy to drive. I returned it at 6 o'clock in the morning(outside of the working hours) and left the key in a special box and that was it. The deposit was returned after a couple of days. Staff was friendly and polite.
Very average. Car was banged up all over. Every panel had damage that they hadn't logged on the sheet took me 15-20 mins to fill it out correctly. They then photocopied my version and signed it without checking. Every panel including the roof had damage. The car wasn't clean I couldn't even see out of the front screen and had to pull over to clean it as no water in the washers. The car also felt very sluggish it struggled on hills unless you turned air con off. Unfortunately the rental team gave me the impression I was going to be charged. They made it hard to trust them. This became harder as a day or so in to the rental I got an email with the damage form I had supposedly signed for and it wasn't the one I signed. It was the one with hardly any of the damage marked. Trust was well out of the window by then. The car went back with no extra damage ( in fact it was cleaner than when I picked it up) and a totally full tank of fuel. The lady who looked over it said it was fine and to sign there pad thing. I asked if I would get an email certifying this, she said yes in 2-3 days. This was 4 days ago but nothing yet. On the plus side the car was very cheap less than PS10 a day also my credit card hasn't been charged yet. It's a shame they made me feel uneasy as the car did the job for a good price. I would probably use them again. My tip to anyone is go over the car with a fine tooth comb before you take it. Document everything and take photos and videos. Do both these on delivery and collection. Make sure you refill the car to the absolute top getting every drop of fuel in you can.Then let the staff know and show them the extent you have gone to. You should be safe if you do this
Car had a dent, and some big scratches not on the inspection report. Had to drive up to the 4th floor to report it. Returned time requested to alter unhelpful and no happy
positive was that it was a more luxurious car than I had reserved. It was really annoying that the engine of the car had not been checked properly before delivery. A light on the dashboard came on twice due to engine problems. The first time that the coolant level was too low and the second time that the engine oil level was too low. Because of this I had to make extra costs for engine oil and coolant. Finally, I found it annoying that I had to tick all the scratches and dents on a form myself. The car had a lot of small damage. Jammer, met dit soort service kom je niet verder.
Very misleading. Booked via DoYou Spain. Including insurance. You will then not (first) receive your car if you do not take out extra insurance because DoYou is a broker and, according to Goldcar, this does not apply. They then indicate that the car has no damage and you receive a car with a broken windshield wiper, broken parking sensor, dents and scratches and not cleaned inside and out. All in all, it takes a lot of stress, energy and time before you get your car and your holiday is not off to a good start. Never again.
Very polite and friendly lads. When I picked up the car, I was worried about the large deposit of 1,400 euros, but after returning the car without damage, the deposit was returned in full. We were upgraded to a Ford Kuga hybrid car, and we were very satisfied. Regarding the fact that people write about the fee for additional cleaning of 35 Euros, try to clean the car yourself from sand and dust. I spent a lot of time and 25 EUR at the car wash and could not completely clean the car of sand.
My previous experience with Goldcar in Majorca left me deeply dissatisfied. Despite their claim that my credit card was malfunctioning, subsequent verification with Barclaycard proved otherwise. They insisted on charging me an exorbitant fee for using my debit card instead. This time in Ibiza, I anticipated their tactics and arrived armed with two credit cards. However, upon inspecting the rental car, I discovered far more scratches than indicated. I diligently recorded these and ensured they were noted in the contract, believing I had outsmarted their scheme. Yet, upon returning the vehicle, they imposed an additional EUR35 fee for minimal sand residue, claiming it necessitated "special" cleaning. Efforts to secure a refund have been fruitless. It's evident that Goldcar's pricing is deceptive; they invariably find ways to levy extra charges. This seems to be their modus operandi. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs. They operate unscrupulously. Enclosed are photographs substantiating the condition of the car, which clearly shows signs of heavy use before my minimal deposits of sand.
Once again, Michael provided exceptional service, as always. Another team member, Noelia, was also incredibly efficient and kind. I'd like to suggest that the laptops upstairs be equipped to handle small contract adjustments, saving clients the extra step of going downstairs to the other office. Thank you for your outstanding service--I'll definitely be back. Much appreciated!
