We were hesitant on renting a car from here as we had read bad reviews by non Spanish people trying to rent cars and having problems We had no issue at all. The customer service was fantastic , fast and friendly at both the pickup and drop off. We highly recommend them Thanks again Peter and Anita
They wouldn't let me rent a car with my European Union ID and driving license. Only if I had any passport or a Spanish ID it was possible as they said. As I entered the country with my EU ID I was not allowed and left with bare hands.... Nobody speaks English on reception, and when I asked to see a manager, they refused. BEWARE....
I'm very happy with the way RentValles handles its services. The prices are very much acceptable, the lady at the counter is more than helpful and the car is clean and well maintained. Pawel
Great and personal service, excellent pricing. Happy to have such a great local car rental in Sant Cugat.
Do not recommend. They refused to rent a car with my national non-EU driving license. Apparently, in this place they never heard about Geneva International Convention of road traffic which Spain is part of, let alone official clarification by DGT.
I've rented over a dozen cars in Spain in the last decade, and never once had any kind of issue, but here they turned it into a huge arguement, and kept telling me they wouldn't give me the car. This place is NOT used to renting to tourists or visitors to Spain and it's obvious. Car was fine, but turning it into a huge ordeal was a major annoyance.
We were attended by a very loud lady who said that people older than 69 years old are not allowed to rent a car (my father is a frequent traveller and rent almost monthly). I called Europcar who said absolutely no problem to rent and the age limitation to 69 was a no-sense.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS AVOID!!! They are as ignorant as it gets. I decided to pay more than the other ones in the airport as they are well reviewed, and I didn't want a headache in my holidays, how wrong I was. I was NOT able to rent the car because they don't understand what the European Union is. I'm Polish living in UK with UK driver licence, and even with Brexit no agreement has changed on driving in EU (well I bet they don't even know what Brexit is). First, she was looking for an address on my passport to match my driver licence???? How many passports have you seen in your life? Tried explaining that doesn't exist. Then she asked why I don't have a British passport if I have a driver licence from UK?! And when I asked if I live in France with French licence she would expect a French passport, she said yes!!!! LOL After 1 hour trying to be as polite/patient as possible, the ignorance is appalling. She reached out to 2 superiors and the 3 of them got to the conclusion I'm not able to rent the car because she cannot match my passport to my address in the driver licence!!!!! Tried 10x explaining the driver licence is the proof of my address by itself, where the passport is the proof of ID, and even referred to the sign they have on the wall of all the docs you need. Then my friend that lives in Spain asked if he provides just the Spanish ID he could rent it, then yes, no problem. Spain and its non-sense processes, this is just another one. It disrupted my entire holiday and already started the wrong way, what a joke of a company. Cherry on top: Nobody speaks English, I was lucky my friend speaks Spanish and was helping with the talking.
