We booked a hybrid car and got a regular petrol one. The rental company does not feel guilty saying that it was a hybrid car, considering the customers for idiots. In addition, after reporting the problem when returning the car, an old lady with short hair (very unpleasant) and a gentleman from the service went with us to see the car. The gentleman from the rental company informed you in Spanish that it is actually not a hybrid car because there are no appropriate cables and batteries. The lady, thinking that we do not know the Spanish language, began to lie to us again that it is a hybrid. She was very surprised when we announced that we knew the Spanish language and we understood everything that the second employee said to her. Unfortunately, even though the lie came to light, she maintained her idiotic claim and ended the conversation, offended, forcing her to write an e-mail. The email has been written, but the rental company does not feel responsible. The effect is that we paid several dozen Euros more for a hybrid car that wasn't like that and a lot more for petrol. We are regular customers of Cicar and this was the first time we experienced such a situation. Rather, the next time we visit the Canary Islands, we will use another rental company.

Very unprofessional service...I have booked a small SUV (Fiat 500x or similar) and they gave me a HUGE van instead and basically said: "take it or leave it, we do not have anything else for you" when I complained. The worst part is that they did not even bother to mention that they are giving me completely different car, they got me the papers signed and I only realized it is a different car when I got the keys and saw the car outside.

Recently returned from a great trip to the beautiful La Gomera. Cicar were great, easy collection just off ferry and simple return. Having rented from a lot of hire companies on the mainland I have to say Cicar were amazing. None of the nonsense of charging crazy sums for a full tank and asking you to return empty, no pressure to buy additional insurance as comes fully comp or any of the other ridiculous tricks less reputable companies use. I 100% recommend and will definitely only use Cicar, when possible, in the future.

Booked a fiat 500, which they didn't have, but then got upgraded to a convertible. Best driving experience ever, what a car, and the joy driving round this incredible island with the roof down will never be forgotten. Now, I'm not sure how I will ever hire a car without it being a convertible. Ps: everything was really easy with the hire company; they were great with no hidden extras.

I met nice and competent people during the service - both when picking up and returning the car. I received exactly the car I booked. They take your fuel deposit but quickly refund it. The car was clean and functional, FULL insured without any combinations. I made the reservation via the website. Generally, I dont see any disadvantages. I recommend

Booked with a third party months ago. Two days before arrival I received a call from a lady saying that the office would normally be closed at our arrival time (9 p.m.) but that someone would still be there. When we arrived, we were tired from the long journey and stood in front of closed doors. We then tried several times to reach the lady on her cell phone without success. We then took a taxi to our apartment, which cost us 75 euros. The next day the lady called and asked WHERE WE HAVE BEEN???? She would have looked for us in vain at the parking lot... When I asked her why she didnt call us, there was no answer. What did we want now, she asked Mistakes can happen anytime and anywhere and you can talk about anything, BUT then claiming untruths is definitely going too far. So Cicar has lost a customer forever, adios.

Es konnen immer und uberall Fehler passieren und man kann uber alles reden, ABER dann noch Unwahrheiten zu behaupten, geht entschieden zu weit. Somit hat Cicar fur immer einen Kunden verloren, adios.

Very attentive service on arrival and equally attentive on departure. Car in good condition and with good power to get around this mountainous island. We received the car with some small knocks that had no impact at all on its operation. Very clean and everything ok. Easy return. The only small detail is that when you enter the parking lot it is a bit of a hassle until you see that you have to change floors to the car delivery area.

No additional costs, no deductible in the event of damage. And if you bring the vehicle back earlier (e.g. Corona), only the actual period will be billed. So fully recommended!

Only in this branch the other branches we have used have not been like this but in this one the car was very dirty, full of bumps and with a bad smell. When we picked up the car they changed it for a superior one, so good, but when we asked why the change was made they were insolent in their response, not giving explanations and answering badly, I almost didnt accept it. We had a flat tire and the vehicle had a spare wheel well but without it, I had to run as best I could to exchange it for another one at another branch that was very far from my location.

I rented a car, and from the first day it gave us problems, when I went the next day the guy who was at the counter told us that it is because we did not know how to drive a simple Fiat 500 (Even having driven that type of car more times on different trips .) We insisted saying that we were paying the difference for someone else, until he gave in and changed it to us.

Be careful if they dont give you a full tank of gas! I rented an Opel Corsa in La Gomera and they gave it to me with 1/4 of the deposit. I returned it with a 3/4 full tank and they paid me for gas at 50% of what it cost. They are idiots. You cannot go around calculating by eye how much gasoline you are going to use. In addition, they gave me a 70 HP car. It is absurd to have these cars on an island that is all uphill (and no, it was not a Fiat 500)

We have been in La Gomera for a week and we rented a gasoline Opel Corsa and it was great, I dont care if it has four hits, the truth is, it is something absurd to evaluate, since it is high season and they cant fix all the cars because they are always coming in and leaving. The car had no problems, the service was very good, the price was great (we had booked a month in advance) and the gasoline issue seemed normal to me, they delivered it to me with 3/4 of gasoline and they asked me for a deposit of 36 euros, I returned it to 1/4 and they gave me 12 euros back. I would repeat with them without hesitation. Based on my experience, I do recommend Cicar, they are very professional and respond to any problem, which is the important thing.

I dont understand why the staff is so unprofessional and doesnt speak more slowly when I ask politely. I would also expect that the staff can speak English. In any case, I dont rent a car here.
