I've used Quality Used Car Rentals several times. Art is helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. It is much easier, less stressful, and quicker to rent from Art versus the corporate companies and significantly less hassle than Turo. I'm glad I found Quality Car Rentals. I needed a rental while my car was at the mechanics and didn't want to be charged the astronomical fees that traditional car rental places charge you nowadays. I didn't need anything fancy, I just needed a car that got me around Marin, and that is exactly what I got. The car wasn't fancy, it was an older car, but it was zippy, got me where I needed to go, and I was happy that I saved money. Art, the owner, was friendly, made sure my insurance covered the rental, and I was in/out within 15 minutes. I received copies of my receipts via email, and he even gave me a ride back to downtown San Rafael when I dropped the car off.

He not only rented me a very serviceable car at a reasonable rate but gave me excellent advice about buying a new car which was why I was renting in the first place. My car from a SF rental place had to be towed and we were stranded. Art replied immediately to my 7am Sunday email, I picked up my new car that morning and it worked perfectly. Returned the car 3 days later, Art gave me ride to the airport bus. This is contrast to not even getting a person on the line when our other rental car wouldn't start. Recommend 100%!

Art went above and beyond to take care of our auto rental needs during a difficult time for our family. The rental process is quick and easy and he's though of most everything to get you rolling quickly and smoothly for reasonable cost. Located in Marin county, Quality Used Car Rental is a better price than renting from Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, and Dollar. The rental cars are great!

A few months ago I ran into some car trouble and had to get towed to the shop. Thankfully it was a Friday so I had a few days to look into car rental places. I sent in a website inquiry and got a call from Art the next morning! He took my information and even let me pick up the rental early (7am) on Monday morning before I had to work. He even offered to give me a ride if I needed it. I dont think you could get better service from a car rental place, Art made it super easy and headache free. Ill definitely use them again if I need another rental!

Stay away from this business and this owner. I would have run as fast as I could in the other direction if Id had a choice. I didnt have any choice--as Art kept reminding me--and he took full advantage of my need. No doubt, if Art reads reviews here, hell lie in his response, just like he did on the phone with me when he rented me a dented, filthy, stinky old Corolla, charging me for 2 days when I only kept it for 1 day, and giving me no legal paperwork required when renting vehicles. I still have no receipt I can give my accountant for my business records, even though I asked for one. My experience with Art reflects the practices I experienced--as a field researcher--with businesses in deep red rural Southern Oregon, which are littered with white nationalists and militia: inaccurate information offered intentionally, bullying, intimidation, surveillance, interrogation, and deep unwarranted suspicion. Art insisted I give him names and phone numbers of people who know me, even though I have whats standard to rent any vehicle without references. Art called my Uncle in Ohio while I was on the phone with him to verify my identity. He wanted numbers for my sisters, too. I had to say no before he finally backed off. He kept interrupting me and talking over me. Art had a neighbor in the area come by and watch me. His friend WATCHED ME while I talked to Art on the phone, without revealing himself until later. All of this so I could rent Arts PoS sedan with hair all over the seats so I could get back to the hotel after my RAV4 transmission failed in San Rafael on the way back from Sonoma. Art also kindly suggested I leave the key to my RAV IN THE CAR so a mechanic Ive never met or vetted could repair my vehicle. I had it towed to the hotel the next day. All the folks living in their cars in that parking lot didnt feel safe. Art didnt care, though. Such an ugly experience with a truly ugly (business) man.

We went first to enterprise and they would not rent us a car as we were out of state renters who only had cash or a debit card and they refused both forms of payment. Raining and wet we called Art who came right away to enterprise and picked us up. Art gave us a good price on our rental car. The rental was not the newest model and lacked a detailed cleaning, but it served our purpose and Art was true to his word. We would do business with Quality car rentals and Art again!

Over the years it has morphed into a high quality operation with great cars and terrific service. Great service. I ve had to come to Marin once a month to visit my mom, and I needed an AFFORDABLE option to get from my hotel to the care facility (and A&W). Art s company fit the bill perfectly. It s easier than a traditional rental company, and he takes me to the airporter when I bring the car back. Are the cars brand new? No. That s not what I need. I need a good car at a great price. THANK YOU for making these trips to see my mom more affordable. She loves it when I tell her how much money I m saving.

Art and Quality Used Car Rental have helped our family out a number of times over the years with exemplary, prompt, thorough and affordable cars and service. Most recently, I was in a car accident and my car was totaled. I needed a car to use until the insurance settlement was completed. I contacted QUCR, and Art came in and rented me a car on a SUNDAY. I was on the road, in a car similar to the one that had been totaled, within 10 minutes. My initial one-week rental turned into a three-week rental, but that did not faze Art and Quality Used Car Rental. I recommend them highly and appreciate them making the process so painless, and for providing me with a solid, dependable, affordable car when I needed it.
