Rented a car here through "Discover Cars". Unfortunately my flight to the island got delayed by a day. Since I booked through a third party I anticipated this being a problem so I called GOBYCAR immediately upon finding out my flight would be delayed by 24 hours to ensure they would retain my booking at the pre-agreed upon price. The man on the phone assured me they would. Upon arrive 24 hours after I was supposed to they said they could not give me the initially agreed upon price of 225 Euro and would instead be charging me 650 Euro for the car because they could not override the Discover Car code in the system.... Needless to say I am extremely dissapointed with this. I know it is technically discover cars fault and we did call them to get a resolution but they could not help. I feel that GOBYCAR should have done whatever they could to honor the original price when booking. Only reason I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the lady who helped me at the front desk did try her best and clearly felt bad for me. For future reference I recommend booking directly through GOBYCAR and not through any third party to avoid this situation in the future.
I chose this car rental company because the price was very good. I had a bit of a problem finding a trasfer at the airport, but I managed and we were in the office in a few minutes. The staff was very helpful, unfortunately I arrived just before closing time and it was not possible to check the car in the light to see if it had any damage, during the day the situation is different. The deposit was quite high (EUR920), but when returning the car the employee checked it within a few minutes and the deposit was returned by the bank within 24 hours. I can only recommend the rental company.
Great service, I recommend it. they have their own transfer from the airport. The employee of the company Dani showed us the car, took into account all the scratches that were on it, we drove for 2 weeks, Toyota Corolla did not let us down. also we have to answer that there were no problems when we handed over the car, it lasted 2 minutes approximately, we had no new damage although we drove more than 1000km
I liked everything. Good staff, car, service. The rental service is located not far from the airport (8-10 minute drive), but they will pick you up from the airport and take you to the rental. The documents were issued in 10 minutes and I had the keys to the car. I booked the car through booking for 7 days, and the car was exactly the brand I booked. Additional insurance was also offered (although I took additional insurance from booking.com, but as the employee who processed the documents explained to me, it is better to take insurance directly from the car rental company because, if an insurance event occurs, you will have to contact booking so that they decide everything, and since it is already a third party, it will take more effort and time, and when you take insurance from the company that provides the rental, then you do not need to contact anywhere except the company that provides you with the rental and they take care of everything) , which I decided to take and, as it turned out later, not in vain, because when I leaving the parking, I accidentally touched and damaged the rear wing of the car. When I came to return the car, I was a little nervous, but the employee who took care of receiving the car reassured me by saying that "You have full insurance and you don't need to pay for repairs." In terms of return time, it took 10-15 minutes, despite the fact that I still asked the employee questions that I was interested in about insurance and the price of repairs, to which the employee willingly answered. After that we were taken back to the airport. The deposit of 200 euros was returned to my account in two days. So, to summarize, I am completely satisfied with the service of this company, polite staff, serviceable and clean car, fast service
Great car rental company. Booked the car through the booking com, received exactly the car I've booked, make sure they have all the damage marked on their tablets, because they had to add quite a few in my case. Other than that everything went smoothly, collection and drop off took under 10 minutes, comfortable shuttle bus from airport, car itself was nice and clean, deposit returned next day. Can only highly recommend them, will definitely use them in the future. Note for everyone wanting to use this company, please make sure you got a proper credit card (not Revolut) to avoid disputes with staff and delaying the queue.
TLDR wouldn't rent from them again given all the overhead and lack of guarantee. Staff are fine, car was in good functioning condition (albeit dirty on the interior). Rented with a credit card, 800+ euro deposit regardless, as others have mentioned. Shuttle was a bit delayed, we had to wait about 30 minutes on both pickup and dropoff from the airport even though their promise is every ~10 minutes. However I think they have a practice of charging for damages barely visible and profiting off the insurance charges --> allegedly you can prevent this if you take THEIR insurance. I've rented cars from all over the world, in all economies, in all companies... the rule of thumb is if it's smaller than a credit card, it's considered wear and tear. Not so here: they charged for a nick, maybe from gravel, that was smaller than half my pinky nail. If you rent from them, make sure to (A) rent directly from them, (B) with their maximum insurance, (C) take PHOTOS (not videos) of the car, and (D) account for 40 minutes "travel" time to and from the airport. ... Or just rent from someone else :)

Although there was a queue during document completion, the staff provided a reasonably quick service. The car provided was in good condition and reasonably priced. Returning the car was hassle-free; their team conducted a swift inspection, providing clearance within minutes. The deposit was promptly released within 15 minutes. Their shuttle service back to the airport was convenient. Overall, Goby Car provided a commendable and reliable car rental experience in South Tenerife, making our trip seamless and stress-free.
