NO RECOMMENDED renting a car was easy only until we got to the airport. Waiting in line for over an hour to get the contract was quite annoying. Then waiting in the collection for the car keys was also annoying. It is very important to take pictures of the whole car and the interior just in case. Someone knocked a piece of metal on our car so we had to cover the repair 170 euros... it's very strange that no one comes to the car with us to check any damages beforehand. When you return the car, the service comes and conducts an inspection... it was not a successful first and last time with this rental company
I recently rented a car from TopCar at Tenerife North Airport and while I was generally satisfied with the service and price, there were a few areas that could be improved. Finding the "office" was a real challenge. The instructions from Booking.com mentioned an underground parking area, but the actual "office" was located far from there, in the long-term P4 parking lot. It wasn't really an office at all, just a table under a canopy where the employees fill out the contracts. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They explained everything clearly and were happy to answer any questions I had. I had my own insurance that covered the rental car, so I didn't need to purchase any additional insurance from TopCar. However, I did have to leave a EUR900 deposit. I was pleased that I received the size and type of car that I had originally booked. I was told that the deposit would be returned immediately upon returning the car, but this didn't happen. It took five days for the money to be credited back to my account. Apparently, they only process the refunds on the day of return or the next day, and the actual time it takes depends on the bank. It would have been helpful to have been given this information upfront. The car itself was fine, but the interior wasn't very clean and the fuel tank was less than half full. The staff did advise me to take photos and videos of the car before driving away, which I did. Upon returning the car, I was met by an employee who inspected the vehicle and assured me that the deposit would be returned that same day. However, I wasn't given any kind of receipt or confirmation that the car had been returned. Overall, I would say that TopCar is a good company with good prices. However, they could definitely improve their signage and instructions for finding their location, and they should be more transparent about the deposit refund process.
Terrible experience with this company. I have been renting from 14 years ago, and never had an experience like that. The windscreen liquid they used it makes your windscreen blurry and we nearly had an accident on the high way, we report it to them and they did nothing.not even respond, I was reading some reports and this is not the first time that they his happens, Terrible service. They charge you your deposit for the insurance not retain it on the credit card. This for us living in Uk or outside Spain makes expenses from Money exchange. I suppose to pay 57EUR and ending paying at the end 121EUR absolutely crazy. This is the first company I see they do that. When I sent them an email they just said this is how we do it. What a great answer. I would never recommend his company. Be careful The cheap becomes expensive at the end.

Affordable and great experience.Easy to pickup and return the car at the airport. No long lines like the rental car desk. I would recommend them. We rented the car for our Tenerife trip.
It was a pleasant experience. I booked a hyundai bayon, And exactly the car I wanted was offered to me. So I didn't get other car, as sometimes happen. I was satisfied. I left a deposit of 900 euros. At the end I got my money back! I recommend this car rental company!
It was extremely difficult to find the little office area at the airport. It's not located were all the other proper car rental offices are. It's far away, two stairs down ish. We had to ask staff multiple times to find their desk. The guy there was helpful and kind. If you don't pay for insurance, be ready to pay 900EUR as a deposit (not all bank cards work for this). The car wasn't the best, however it was also one of their cheapest options. The rug underneath the driver seat + passenger seat didn't match the actual car. So we put it away when we rented it. Every time we started the car it said on the screen that the car needed service. Also, we couldn't clean the front window since the cleaning liquid was empty, which led to the window being extremely dirty and blurry, so we had to pour water on the window while being on the highway. I wouldn't rent from this place again. It was easy and fast to leave the car at the south airport though.
Rented a Fiat 500 Hybrid for 10 days. Great service, easy pick up, easy drop off (had an early flight but you can drop the keys off anytime). The car was clean and ran without issues (did 1700 km around the island). The deposit was 700 km and they refunded it to my bank account in the same day I returned the car. You can opt to pay 60EUR for full insurance and leave no deposit but I already had insurance through booking.
