I told him multiple times, and he even repeated it back to me so I know he knew, that I already had excess insurance but they charged me for their insurance anyway. I've rented many cars before and this has never happened to me before. They also ignored my attempts to contact them. AND there are fees because the desk is in the airport terminal itself. I felt very scammed by them. I always book reputable companies when I rent cars because with the cheap ones you always end up paying in other ways. I thought Sixt was one of those reputable companies but I'll definitely never book with them again.

Mariana- i think was her name- she was AMAZING! We received an Audi- yes with scratches ( it's a rental!) manual. Car drove well and fantastic on gas. We choose to opt out on the full gas return and choose to pay the extra 50EUR. Smartest move Bc our flight was early and it would have cost 50EUR to fill up. anyways. Location is off the airport and IS ACCESSIBLE TO AIRPORT BY FOOT. Super easy 10 min walk or less. Service was great- will come again.

Free updgrade to a larger vehicle at Tenerife North. Beforehand, easy instructions emailed to us about exactly where to meet their represenative for transport to the very nearby office. Very helpful lady in the office took us through the easy transparent process. Rental contract emailed to us which showed all the known damage to the vehicle. This is good and is what some other well known car rental companies are now doing. As per contract, vehicle dropped off at Tenerife South airport where a very helpful lady in the office inspected the vehicle, found no issues and closed the contract. No grief. Thank you.

Update March 2024 Much better experience this time. Great after hours service. Original: Office only approachable by shuttle or taxi. Drive some 5-8 minutes. At the time I arrived I was not informed about this procedure and no signs visible to me. Rather confusing. Staff is all great! Company Policy needs revision, especially for long term loyal clients: List price per day for a 3 days rental EUR70 but they charged me over EUR150 per day. Not sure what happened back then.

Picking up the vehicle is super simple, and within the restricted area (specifically in baggage claim) there is a stand where you can make reservation arrangements while waiting for your luggage. Do not hesitate to endanger the safety of their customers then abandon them in the middle of nothing in the middle of the night before trying to defraud them. Never seen before. We rented a car (convertible, quite expensive) from this company this summer. After 20 km on the highway the red engine light came on and smoke came out of the hood. We were able to stop at a highway exit, which fortunately was close. It was 9 p.m., in the middle of nothing. We called after-sales service. 2 hours of talking, hanging up on us. In the end, around 11 p.m., a tow truck arrived...but only to recover the car. So they left us at the side of the road, without transport or accommodation, with our luggage. And guess the best: the cause of the failure. The coolant reservoir cap was missing! Fortunately our hotel managed to find us (with difficulty) a taxi. So, by their behavior, they clearly put us in danger. But there is better. Hold on tight! I have just received an invoice for 185 euros for the repair of the vehicle. In addition to endangering others, there is fraud. It is obvious that SIXT is forever banned from my rentals.

Au final, vers 23h, une depanneuse est arrivee...mais seulement pour recuperer la voiture. Ils nous ont donc laisse au bord de la route, sans transport ni logement, avec nos bagages. Et devinez le meilleur : la cause de la panne. Il manquait le bouchon du reservoir de liquide de refroidissement ! Heuresement que notre hotel a reussi a nous trouver (difficilement) un taxi. Ainsi, par leur comportement, il nous ont clairement mis en danger. Mais il y a mieux. Tenez vous bien! Je viens de recevoir une facture de 185 euros au titre de la reparation du vehicule. A la mise en danger dautrui, sajoute lescroquerie. Il est evident que SIXT est a jamais bannie de mes locations.

They picked me up at the Los Rodeos airport to take me to the office. Marina helped me and was very friendly and professional, she even offered me a map of the island and made recommendations of places to visit. Excellent service at Sixt Tenerife Norte. I want to thank the fantastic attention we received from the young man who assisted us at the Sixt rental agency at the Tenerife North airport. From the first moment he was very friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. He explained everything clearly to us, and his vehicle recommendation was perfect for our vacation. We will definitely choose Sixt again in the future thanks to their great service!
