Great experience with Hertz, they where kind to switch our car with the one we wanted, no issues when returning, deposit was returned immediately, although we did have the full insurance. Car was perfect for exploring the island. Would recommend especially if you're a young driver and don't want a high deposit with the full insurance.

We rented a car for a week, and we got the deposit back on the drop off day, so no negative surprises in that sense. I don't give more stars because the car was dirty when I got it, and also its engine had not enough power in certain situations. I don't know how manufacturers keep building these kind of cars, and how rental companies offer them. It was a class B car, Hyundai Bayon.

This is how they do it: 1) give you unclear pictures of previous damage. 2) get you to sign for the damage at the counter before you go to your car 3) when you return the car, they claim you "made the existing damage worse" 4) they have the price for fixes ready and waiting for you in the system. They charged me an additional 150Eur for prior damage. 5) they charge it against your deposit My advice is not to rent here. But if you do, get full insurance with no excess. Shame on Hertz for these practices.

Don't rent from this company; they are scammers; They gave us a car full of scratches, saying that are all marked in the annex of the contract; the car was returned and keys left on the door box while in the next day, before releasing the deposit, we've been overcharged for a small scratch on the door which of course it wasn't made by us (the car was all the time in good care); They are scamming all customers who are not taking full insurance.

I rented a car from Hertz when I arrived in Tenerife. The man at the reception was very nice and helpful. No queue compared to other rental companies at same location. The price included full insurance and it was a bit the same price as other places. It was very quick to fill in the information, the employee gave us the keys and we went straight to the Hertz parking lot. The car was in good condition, recent and clean. Drop off at the airport was super easy as well. Thank you.

Concur with the other rating saying this people are thieves. Check your car and check them when you return your car, they charge me for a 1mm scratch they might have done themselves. Then threaten to call the police when I ask to see a supervisor! I was a faithful Hertz customer until this day.

I dont recommend it, pay a little more and rent with cicar!! When the first thing you want is a debit card and you have to sign a contract where it retains 670 for insurance!! When the car returns there is a small scratch on the bottom of the car where there is a little paint missing that is not even noticeable and they have charged me 264!!! Its a scam and they are very unfriendly. At cicar everything is included in the price and you dont have to pay anything until you arrive! I will never use Hertz again!! I recommend CICAR a thousand and one times

Y encima nos hacen pagar una rayada en la llanta que nosotros no hizimos. Asi que revisad bien los contratos que firmais in situ en las horas de entrega y recogida del vehiculo y revisad bien el coche antes de cogerlo. Una experiencia para NO REPETIR.
