Avia Car in San Bartolome de Tirajana

From my personal experience this was 10/10, we found out the day before that we were gonna try one of the tour busses, but they all were full! So the following day (when the tour was supposed to be) we asked Tui where they would recommend to rent a car and they said AVIA CAR! So i called them at 10 in the morning and they told me stand at the reception at 11, and someone would pick us up! We went to the office and the rest of the day it was just wounderful! We parked the car at the hotel in the night and were told they would pick it up in the morning! Only criteria they had was please fill up the car to the same ammount and pluss in my books for giving a price quota over the phone with insurance and taxes that was actually the real deal! 11/10 gonna use again if im back here

Hired a nearly new VW Polo for the day for EUR67. Staff made the hiring process very easy and the car was excellent. 5 stars.

We hired a car for the day via our TUI rep at the hotel. Booking it for the next day. We wanted it earlier as had a full day out planned but they could only offer 11am so we took it. We booked a Class A (the smallest type of car) as there was only 3 of us. So the next day came and we waited at 11am but no one turned up, our TUI rep called 4 times and each time was told they were "5 minutes away", they eventually turned up at 11.50... so nearly an hour late. The driver picks you up and takes you back to their office to do the paperwork and collect your car, and we were told it was a "5 minute drive", it's actually a 12 min drive according to Google maps. The driver was speeding no end on the way to the office to the point it actually made us feel a bit sick!! So we arrived at the office and the lady at the desk was very lovely and friendly, she apologised several times for the delay and upgraded our car by (I think) about 3 categories, so we did have a nicer car for the day, however by the time we actually got to the car it was around 12.30! The car itself (Peugeot 308) was very clean, and you were able to connect your phone to use the satnav which was handy, it also had aircon. The following day we needed a larger 7 seater car to go on a family day out to the aquarium. We didn't want to risk being delayed and time wasted again, so this time we booked with Orlando car hire (directly opposite the Orquedea Hotel), they were a million times better so I would recommend using them if needed.

Great service. We booked a car for 1 day, they picked us up at the hotel. Brought us to the rental office, finished the paperwork and all was done with in 15 minutes with great service. We decided to rent the car for an additional day. So we called and no problem. Only renewal of the contract and off we go! Thanks for the service!

We rented a car in the Fiat Panda, Citroen, Toyota Aiyo category. Got a Dacia that had two parking fines on the window and was covered in Calima sand. Which showed it had not been used for some time. The air condition was not working. Very disappointing! Especially since it was the third time we rented and that had been OK. AVIA Car, please check on your car fleet before making your customers make trips to the mountains in such a car!

As said before, no surprises. They do what they promise. We arranged via hostess TUI at Mirador Hotel 4 days carhire (for the price of 3). Pick up at the hotel, transport to their office, and hiring a car was set in 30 minutes. After 4 days we decided to have the car (okay, Fiat Panda, anyway...) for another day, no problem, for again a reasonable price. After period of hiring we could leave the car at a parkinglot near the hotel, and leave the key at the frontdesk of the hotel. Never had such a smooth handling for car hiring. Excellent! Maybe not the cheapest, but by far the best and friendly office for this on vacation.

As another review said, other companies raise the price during peak times. There's no complicated fuel surcharge, they only ask if you can return it with about the same amount it already has(mine was 3/4). I hired a Renault Laguna Cabriolet for 1 day(EUR85 + Ins and tax EUR129.23 total). You'll need a photocard driving licence and your passport. I really enjoyed driving around with the roof down and the winding roads on the mountains great fun. I arranged to leave the car at the airport and as I arrived an Avia guy brought a trolley for my suitcases. The staff on the desk were also very friendly and helpful. After reading many poor reviews about other hire places this one deserves the 5 stars.

Visited Playa Del Ingles under high season. Found many car rentals, for example "Autos Drago" (++) to take advantage of this, by doubling or tripling the price of their car rentals. Other companies was not serious, with contracts they stated "wasn't updated, but no problem, we cover you fully". With Avia Car I got the actual price that was in their brochures, no bull****. Actual full insurance with no price to pay should you come in an accident (I take their word on this, as I did not experience this). And last but not least, a proper contract. Do not review often, but given the high contrast between Avia Car and many of the other car rentals in Playa Del Ingles, I felt I had to. Highly reccommended!
