National Car Rental in Salt Lake City

No matter where I rent, National consistently has, hands-down, the most polite and professional service staff I've ever seen. The process for picking up and (especially) dropping off is efficient, quick and painless. You may be able to save a few dollars going with offsite rentals, but in my experience you pay the price for it in the end.

I recently rented a car from National Car Rental, and while I appreciated their selection of vehicles, I ran into a frustrating issue that I think needs to be addressed. In today's world, it's pretty common for businesses to offer flexible payment options, like taking credit card payments over the phone. Unfortunately, National Car Rental doesn't do this, which felt outdated. When I tried to resolve this, I was told that I had to drive 45 minutes to their location just to show my credit card in person. This seemed inconvenient and not customer-friendly. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the "managers" I spoke to had little authority to help resolve my issue. It felt like they were limited in what they could do to assist customers, which is not what you expect from a well-established company. This lack of empowerment for their staff can lead to a poor customer experience and leaves customers feeling frustrated and unheard. It's important for companies like National Car Rental to be more adaptable and offer solutions that make life easier for their customers. Being able to pay over the phone should be a basic option, especially when so many places are doing it. Overall, while I was happy with the car itself, the lack of flexibility in their payment process and the limited authority of their managers were disappointing. I really hope National Car Rental will consider changing these policies in the future, as it would greatly improve their service and make things easier for customers like me.

Car pick up and drop off was quick and easy. Very convenient. Got an upgraded SUV which was great for our trip. Price was so much cheaper than competitors. The only negative was the car was not very clean when we picked it up but otherwise everything was great

National makes it easy to pick up a vehicle and go, without having to get in line at the rental counter. On my recent rental in the Salt Lake City airport, I went to the Emerald aisle, picked out a nice vehicle and departed. The return was just as easy. A staff member arrived at my vehicle shortly after parking, checked it back in and printed out my receipt. I recommend the National Emerald Aisle to everyone I know who is traveling. Thanks.

I have been an Emerald Club member for 24 years. That has been one of the smartest travel decisions I ever made. I have rented cars through National hundreds of times and wouldn't think of using any other company. Their service is quick, courteous, and affordable. Their cars are always clean and ready to go. Love using this company.

Had a great experience with National Car Rental at the Salt Lake City airport. Our multi-family vacation had a lot of people and luggage, and we quickly realized we needed to upgrade to a larger vehicle. They were able to quickly find us a new car. The staff were really friendly and easy to work with. The car was in perfect shape and served us very well on our trip through the National Parks (Yellowstone and Grand Teton). I highly recommend renting from National!

Located directly in the airport, you can pick from a decent selection of cars and SUVs right from the main garage and be on your way in a fraction of the time from traditional car rental locations.
