We recently rented a car from Cicar in Puerto de la Cruz. The vehicle had approximately 87,000 km on the odometer and was relatively well-maintained inside, though the pseudo-leather seats were quite uncomfortable, with no option to adjust the driver's seat height. On the positive side, the rental process was straightforward, with minimal paperwork and no requirement to use a credit card for a deposit. Additionally, we received the car with a full tank of fuel, which was convenient. However, there were some significant downsides. The trunk did not function properly--it wouldn't open either with the key or manually. More concerning were the issues with the car's performance. On the highway, the car struggled to accelerate, and once we shifted to a gear higher than fourth, it completely lost power, making it impossible to exceed 80-90 km/h. In summary, while the company is not a scam, their vehicle fleet clearly needs a thorough inspection to ensure passenger safety.

Rented two vehicles over the course of our week holiday. And both occasions went absolutely perfectly. The staff are speedy and helpful and the cars were both prepared to high standards. I rented an opel zafira life 8 seater which was low mileage and a good specification and then a Peugeot 208 automatic. 0 deposit and very good pricing, I would definitely use cicar again when I next visit!

Cicar is the main choice when someone wants to rent a car in the Canary Islands. Low, fair prices. Fast and good contact with employees from the beginning (contact form) until the return of the car in Puerto de la Cruz. Instead of the car we chose, we had a better and bigger one for the same price. Good insurance, map and audio guide. I really recommend.

I rent a car 3 times here and I always got a better car then I played for. All cars have full insurance so you don't need to worry about anything. Every car was equipped with parking sensors, back view camera, and other features. The price is lowest as I could find in whole Tenerife. Recommended!

The easiest car rental ever!!!!! Booked a Fiat 500 and got it. Lolli, at the desk was super friendly and only needed my reservation, drivers license and ID card. No attempt to sell me any insurance or explain to me that there are special features in Tenerife, as I have already experienced 100 times in other countries. Very pleasant. We were very satisfied with the car rental. We spontaneously reserved an Opel Astra online one day before the start of the rental. We got a Seat Leon, in our opinion an upgrade. The car was clean, had a few scratches, but was otherwise in perfect condition. The advantage is that you dont have to pay a deposit when renting a car. We cannot confirm that there was a long waiting time at the counter. We also extended the rental period by one day at short notice during our rental; here we only charged the daily amount and no extra costs. The only problem with our car was that the trunk cover was broken and couldnt be used. Everything went smoothly with the pickup and return. We can definitely recommend an automatic, especially for Tenerife and the mountains

Einziges Manko an unserem Auto war, dass die Kofferraumabdeckung gebrochen war und sich nicht bedienen liess. Mit der Abholung und der Ruckgabe hatte alles problemlos geklappt. Speziell fur Teneriffa und die Gebirge konnen wir auf jeden Fall ein Automatik empfehlen
