CRC Car Rental Company in Prior Velho

Rental agreement: 24233357 Car pick up: the staff was polite but lied on the price of gas. I wanted me to pay 120 euro for the full tank and told me it was the normal price (Peugeot 2008). I refused: good thing, it was only 74.8 euro(1.7 euros/l x 44L). I didn't want to take ViaVerde pass but he said it was mandatory.... Car return: they notice a small impact (see picture) on the front windshield had charged me 984 Euro (800 euro + taxe) for it. No explanation on why I had to pay this much. The person was polite but charged me 984 euro like it was normal or to explain how it would be fixed. That was not professional.

Overall, it was a positive experience, especially considering the affordable rates they offer. We booked the car through Booking.com. The vehicle was in great condition, equipped with all the necessary features for a pleasant journey. We would definitely recommend this service.

Just return after 1 week rental. We were hesitant initially from some of the negative reviews but it was completely opposite experience for us. Quick ride from airport to rental place, they notify the front desk when we catch the shuttle so we were already in the cue when arrived. Less than 5 minutes wait. Exceptional customer service, no push to purchase their insurance, very new car, thoroughly explained the process. Return was equally easy and expedient. We rented from 5 companies the last 3 months in Europe, by far this was the best experience. We might have been lucky, arriving just as the shuttle is leaving, quiet part of the day etc. Having your own credit card that covers rental insurance is also helpful.

We had a great experience with Rafael! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. They helped us choose the perfect car for our trip, and the vehicle itself was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The pickup and drop-off process was smooth and hassle-free, with no hidden fees or surprises. What really stood out was the level of customer service. I rented a car through CRC and was assisted by Livia Figueiredo. She was extremely helpful, and friendly, and processed my payment efficiently. She also answered all of my questions. I recommend. The service from the airport to the station was very smooth. CRC will be my forever car rental!

The worst I've ever seen. The shuttle they send to the airport comes every half hour. Internal procedures take at least 1 hour. They take the gas money as prepayment. We were charged 92 euros, but we later discovered that 50 euros was enough for a full tank of gas; A complete robbery. The car was delivered to us in a very dirty condition, and when we wanted to change it, we were given another, lower class car. It was also quite dirty and we waited for 1 hour for the procedure to be done and left. When we delivered the car, they asked us to pay for the damages that already existed on the car, but when we did not accept, the staff (he said his name was Eduardo, but he may have made it up) started shouting at us. He threatened to not let us on the airport shuttle. Luckily another calm staff member brought us. But never again. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Shocking experience. When we returned our car, we were billed EUR250 for the tiniest of marks (do you see a mark in the photo?), and all because we received the car as brand new. The two staff who handled us were completely cold, zero customer service. Don't ever rent a brand new car, it's just an opportunity for them to find the smallest of issues and charge outrageous fees. And don't rent from CRC, very poor attitude.

Had a positive experience with CRC. Rented a car through Discovercars.com. Picking up the car was easy and had a nice shuttle from the airport. I did have to leave a $1400cdn deposit for damages, despite the other insurance I had, but got that back after dropping off the car. Also had to leave a 50e deposit for tolls that I will get back in a few weeks. Staff were nice and spoke English well. Car was clean and smooth to drive. Despite what seemed like a lot of money to out down, it was a positive experience over all!
