Avoid at all cost! Charged me EUR500 for a flat tyre through an unauthorised bank debit (after deposit had been returned). Customer service took more than one month to respond and refused to refund any charges, including towing costs which they previously assured were included and a number of fees that did not apply to my case. I rent several cars every year and never had an experience as bad as this.
Ci siamo trovate molto bene con il noleggii. Abbiamo prenotato online includendo la full insurance ad un ottimo prezzo, prendendola in questa agenzia e lasciandola in quella dell'aeroporto (leggermente distante ma con servizio navetta). L'auto era in ottime condizioni e pulita. Al termine del noleggio c'era un piccolo danno su un cerchio della ruota ma non abbiamo avuto addebiti per via dell'assicurazione. Consigliata!
We had a very good time with the rental. We booked online including full insurance at an excellent price, picking it up at this agency and dropping it off at the airport one (slightly far away but with a shuttle service). The car was in very good condition and clean. At the end of the rental there was a small damage to a wheel rim but we were not charged due to the insurance. Recommended!
Superb ease of doing business with Tangerine in Portugal. Prices were competitive and the car was exactly what we expected.
The car was fine and it's very cheap to rent. However, the whole customer service experience was not so pleasant. First of all, they initially told me that it would take 5 working days to get my deposit back minus the toll money but after 5 days passed I sent them an email to see what's going on and they told me it could take 30 days (!!!). Now 2 weeks have passed and still nothing. I don't even know how much is the charge. In another company I rented from they told me immediately. Then why are you lying to me and make me rent the toll device?? I could have payed the tolls in cash. Secondly, even though we arrived later to pick up the car (they were informed) we waited 45 mins to pick up the car. Finally, 2 different people called me on the day of the return asking me why I didn't return the car the day before (??). Especially the second person was quite rude trying to make me feel stupid for not understanding (?). At the end she saw that I was right and became very apologetic. I did not mind so much the last part but does not make the experience positive.
Competitive prices but very expensive fee to cross Spanish border(3times more than other companies). Car pickup was late by 1 hour.
At first, my experience with Tangerine was very positive. Good price, and good service with the personal in place. HOWEVER, as stated in the contract, there is a 120 euros penalty if you cross the Spanish border. We had to, for an health issue related to my girlfriend's pregnancy. Even with justification, they would not accept to reimburse the penalty. This non-sensitive and non-empathic way of dealing the situation got me very mad. For a very young rental company trying to establish themselves on the market, they do not start on a good foot.

Great service with very kind staff and fast & easy pick-up & return of the vehicle! Car was very new, clean and in great condition. Can really recommend Tangerine at Porto City Center.
