Friendly staff who explain everything well and the car was in good condition. Also the shuttle service was quite efficient. Slightly pushy regarding an extra insurance that was not necessary in my case, but we worked it out. Paperwork could be a little faster im comparison to other companies, but generally totally fine.
Big scam. Make sure to take pictures. Hide minor scratches on delivery to charge hundreds of dollars. Recommend Sixt rent a car. Pay peanuts, get monkeys.
0 stars for the lousy service. We sat with our toddler for an hour and half at 10 pm just to get a car which was fully paid for and where all formalities were done. The man at counter just kept chatting with a lady before us. Horrible client service. Never again ! On the contrary he was really polite when it finally was our turn. Update 30/10/24: was really quick while returning it.
NEGATIVE OPINION (changed from June): For a 3 days renting in June 2024, I was happy with the services and their staff but the after sales is really unhelpful and I was abused for an amount of 307,50EUR for damages for which I was not responsible and that were made by another person. We went directly to their offices to report and show it. They first charged then after waiting for 4 months for their insurance to reply, they refused to reimburse in spite of the pictures and report made within the hour on the same day of the scratch finding. They did not provide the insurance formal disclaimer for not refunding the advanced amount for the liability damage by the other party at fault. Their reply was: "After analysis by the insurance company, we found that the responsibility lies with the other driver. Now, among us SP - GreenMotion, you are always responsible for the damage caused to the vehicle. At the beginning of the rental it is explained that by opting for the excess, you are always responsible for the damage caused by you or other drivers." Be warned with that company!!
Never again! Never have I ever experienced such bad service. The man at the desk was unfriendly and impatient from the beginning. Although there were no other customers and we were friendly and tried to be quick and uncomplicated. He tried to sell us an insurance worth more than 500EUR for 2 weeks and repeated several times how much even little scratches would cost although we already had a fully comprehensive insurance. He also repeatedly told us how you have to pay for everything in Portugal. After, we naturally wanted to document everything on the car like we usually do which never is a problem. The service worker reacted very impatiently and criticised us several times that we wouldn't listen to him although at least one or two of us did nothing but follow every word of his the whole time. After, he accused us of not trusting the Portuguese and basically being racist although we only were especially careful because he told us about the ,,tremendous cost for every little scratch". The car also was dirty at the outside, so we had to look very carefully for scratched and indentations. We got a car smaller than we thought, it's okay because we didn't book a specific car but the one referenced certainly was bigger than the one we got and they still labelled it as an ,,update". Earlier, we had to wait half an hour for the shuttle bus as the rental is not directly at the airport, while other car companies' shuttles arrived every couple of minutes. Cannot recommend!
Very nice experience. Staff were very kind and professional - always happy to support Brand new car so unable to pick anything negative. I've seen a few cars in the company and they were all fairly new
Nice and efficient multilingual staff at the desk, we got new hybrid Fiat 500 white colour with 2000km mileage. Unfortunately our small car, that was correctly parked at night, had been scratched by someone who honestly left a hand note on the window and we had to contact the assistance. We could continue our last day with the same car. Do not hesitate to take many photos of the car before/after renting. Hopefully the insurance will solve it and we can be refunded but be ready to pay first (about 310EUR + deposit 900EUR by credit card). Remark: the direct phone line to the local rental agency was always disconnected. Free shuttle to/from the airport was very practical, you have to know they come to pick up along the second lane at exit C.
It was a bit daunting at first when we arrived as there was no rental office at Porto airport. The email did give directions of where to wait, outside the terminal. Maybe someone with a green motion welcome board would be helpful. The car was very clean and a lovely to drive. No need to worry about road tolls as they would be collected automatically.
