Excellent service! Friendly staff.
Great service from the staff at the office. The van I hired was clean and in good condition. Rate was very fair. The 2 gentleman that served me were excellent and a credit to the company. I have used them 3 times now in recent months and each time it the service has been first rate.
Hi Avis - I returned my Mercedes Van on 2nd June 2023 - yet I still haven't received my refund of PS121 for fuel deposit? Please update me on when you will refund my money please. Thanks Andrew
This company is a fraud, charging for made up damages to the car, several months after returning the car. Do not rent cars here, you will get scammed. They can't even provide proper proof for the damages. All made up.
Yesterday I booked a car and visited the office to take it but when it came to paying the deposit, all of our credit and debit cards were declined, they didn't accept revolut or cash. So we had to cancel all of our travel plans for two days and we spent a lot of money for transportation. The amount of online payment also isn't reverted. Lomg story short, this company stole my money and caused a lot of problems for my family.
Have been great both times we have used them. Certainly much better than europcar across the street!
Gave me a car that was crashed on right hand side. You struggled to open the front door. Given it was late and there were no other options I mistakenly took it. The office then had the audacity to charge me for one of the scratches on the same side that was not written down. They then offered to wave damages if I hired another car with them, which I obviously didn't. Avoid this place like the plague - go to Europcar opposite side of the street.
Anyone who reads my reviews will know that I usually give them when I have had exceptional service' and this is what I received from Jose Estevao at the Praia da Rocha Avis office. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile, even when I confessed that I had forgotten to bring my passport along! Jose drove us back to Alvor (a ten minute delay), but when I realized that I had left my North American order form back in Alvor. Another smile and back to our apartment. This was superb service! I also learned about Jose on the various trips. The car was perfect and there was no hint of the awful stories from other auto rental companies. Thank you for your wonderfully humane response Jose, I think you should have employee of the month prize, you have it from me!
