Been using these guys happily for a few years now when travelling to Majorca. Easy to contact both online and phone. No hidden extras or deposit, just a good clean car which is ready in the car park for you on arrival with no queues or paper work to fill in, just get in and drive. Dropping off, just as simple just leave the car back where you picked it up. Highly recommended.

I give it one star because I cant give less. I can only define this company as scammers and incompetent. I rented a car with this company in Athens and 20 minutes after picking it up an error came out that the engine had failed and that I should take the car to the workshop. I immediately called the company and they told me not to worry, that it was a common message but that the car was perfect, that I should continue my trip calmly (a trip, by the way, that was more than 1,500 km) and, following their instructions , thats what I did. The next day the car did not go over 60 km/h...it was impossible to go up hills or overtake because it had no power or acceleration. I called again to report what was happening and ask them to change my car because it was impossible to drive with it. The companys response was: as long as the car moves, no matter how little, we are not going to change it. The only option to change is for it to break completely and not move or for you to return to Athens (at that time I was 4 hours from Athens and my trip was in the opposite direction, which meant I would lose at least one day of travel and the contracted hotels. , that is, it was impossible for me to return without damaging my trip). Not only did they rent me a defective car that they knew was damaged (because in the first call I made they already told me that it was a common fault in that car) but, knowing that the problem was with their car, they did not offer me any solution that other than waiting for him to completely break down or for me to waste my time and money going back to his office (knowing that it was more than 4 hours away). You will see if you want to risk renting a car with them...you already know that if you have any problem THEY WILL LEAVE YOU DUMP. I will never contract with them again. By the way, I rented another car with Abbycar and it was great, super attentive and efficient. They should learn from them, Avance is mediocre, being generous.

Alquile con esta empresa un coche en Atenas y a los 20 minutos de recogerlo salio un error de fallo en el motor y que debia de llevarse el coche al taller. Llame inmediatamente a la empresa y me dijeron que no me preocupara, que era un mensaje comun pero que el coche estaba perfectamente, que siguiera mi viaje tranquilamente (un viaje, por cierto, que era de mas de 1.500 km) y, siguiendo sus indicaciones, eso hice. Al dia siguiente el coche no pasaba de los 60 km/h...era imposible subir cuestas o adelantar porque no tenia fuerza ni aceleracion. Volvi a llamar para reportar lo que pasaba y pedir que me cambiasen el coche porque era imposible conducir con el, la respuesta de la empresa fue: mientras el coche se mueva, por muy poco que sea, no vamos a cambiartelo. La unica opcion de cambio es que se rompa totalmente y no se mueva o que vuelvas a Atenas ( en ese momento estaba a 4 horas de Atenas y mi viaje era en direccion contraria lo que me suponia perder minimo un dia de viaje y los hoteles contratados, es decir, me era imposible volver sin perjudicar mi viaje). No solo me alquilaron un coche defectuoso que sabian que estaba danado (porque en la primera llamada que hice ya me dijeron que era un fallo comun en ese coche) sino que, sabiendo que el problema era de su coche, no me ofrecieron ninguna solucion que no fuese esperar a que rompiera totalmente o que yo perdiese mi tiempo y dinero en volver a su oficina (sabiendo que estaba a mas de 4 horas de alli). Vosotros vereis si quereis arriesgaros a alquilar un coche con ellos...ya sabeis que si teneis algun problema OS VAN A DEJAR TIRADOS. No volvere a contratar con ellos nunca mas. Por cierto, alquile otro coche con Abbycar y genial, super atentos y eficientes. Deberian aprender de ellos, Avance es mediocre, siendo generosa.

Saturday evening, long flight with a kid who cried a lot, we reached the parking lot. I specifically asked for an AUTOMATIC gearbox at least 3 times when we had the conversation over emails. I can not drive a manual due to health reasons, neither does my wife. Of course we got the manual car. It has to be a mistake, Im sure they will fix it fast Ive said to myself. We called them and the response was: no you did not, you asked for a manual gearbox, but Ill check for the email on MONDAY, we do not work anymore until monday. Cheers, mate!. And hung up. Honest question to the reader of this - what would you have done? It this professional to you? We were extremely lucky to find a friend on the same flight that can drive a manual and drove us around until Monday. But its not over. We called on Monday, they acknowledged their mistake. we will get a car to you today, Ill write you an SMS with the details where to do the exchange. 4 hours later I call them: so? where do we do the exchange, their response is fabulous: We have no automatic cars, we can only exchange it the next day. THREE DAYS now that they have NOT fulfilled their contract duties. Moreover talking to them was rude-ish almost all the time. We will call you back - they never did. We will write you an SMS - they never did. After all this do you think they apologized? Do you think they said - we are sorry, you dont have to pay for the first 3 days BECAUSE WE SCREWED YOU UP? No. Instead they kept calling us and demanding for the car payments - another OF THEIR ISSUE with the debit card. I got 10 calls in a day when they could not process the debit card. OH, so when YOU NEED something, your phone works just fine? And when YOU ARE SUPPOSED to call us to fix YOUR ISSUE - it suddenly does not? Overall, a terrible experience. You ruined 1/2 of our vacation and your attitude was a disgrace as a business. Would never recommend to anyone. P.S. As a business owner myself, this should be a lesson to you, cause this is how your business will go under water eventually. You made 300 euros, and lost at least three customers forever.

Great service from Alfie and his team at Avance. Booked a car two days in advance and the price was really competitive. We were given a brand new Cupra Formentor which had only done approx 60km. It was delivered to the door of our accommodation at the time stated and same for collection. Really stress free process. Can t fault these guys, wouldn t hesitate to use them again when in Majorca.
