Amazing guys. Good prices and brand new cars. I really recommend this rent a car if you're visiting the Island.

ANC deserve their reputation as the good guys of Azores car rental and they were absolutely great to me. 5-star service. It is 100% worth the very short walk to Parking lot 5 and a 5-10 min wait for their bus. The mobile number is connected to WhatsApp so you can call them or message them easily to check the bus is on its way if not there already. Reading the reviews of their competitors at the airport, I'm glad I wasn't tempted to go with anyone else for the sake of 15 minutes! ANC kept all their promises, including getting the exact car I booked. No hard sell for insurance, just checked I had some and understood the terms. The car was nearly new and super clean. I had a tyre issue after a couple of days and they sorted me a replacement car, same model, at 30 mins' notice. Receipts were supplied by email and the deposit hold on my card was released promptly after the rental period. Sao Miguel is a beautiful place, I will be back and I will rent from ANC again. Practical tip: drive out of the rear of the site past the rental office, rather than through the petrol station. That way you can turn either way onto the main road.

Great experience overall! Everything was clearly explained, making the process smooth and easy. I had a minor issue with my car, but they resolved it quickly by offering a replacement without any hassle. Returning the car was also very convenient, with a gas station located just across the way--no need to stress about refueling. Highly recommend this company! No issue with a deposit. Friendly guy who is driving from/to the office/airport.

Easy to deal with. Communication was professional and fast. We had to wait for a while after we landed for the shuttle. They charge my credit card $1500 deposit when we pick up the car and the car was smaller than expected but it's worked out great with the small parking lots around the island. The deposit was refunded in full upon the return of the car. So no complaints from us. Give them a try.

Very satisfied with ANC. Booked easily through discovercars. All details in there. Once we landed, i called contact i had been given and within few mins, our ride to car rental office arrived to pick up us. It was easy and quite fast to arrange all the things, no issues with English at all. Car return occurred also very quickly with no issues. Quite higher credit card deposit was released quite quickly though. Best price offered. Very polite customer service, we even communicated via WhatsApp. We cleaned the car obviously. The car had some minor damage, we were notified about it though (don't need brand new car). Higher required credit card deposit. Smaller trunk, would expect larger for 4 people and their belongings. Overall satisfaction, didn't expect that Unable to tell how would they react in case of rental issues...

We rented a car here just for the day so that we could go explore the island at our own pace and go enjoy one of the thermal pools without being tied to a tour! It was really quick and easy and the car was in great condition. Everything went super smooth and we paid a very fair price. My one minor thing is that they required a 1300 euro deposit which seems incredibly high as that is almost $2000 CAD. We got it back no problem, but I do not think I have ever been asked to leave a deposit that high especially since we purchased the full insurance package. I would still recommend, but just something to consider!

Awful service, they provide a car with consumed tyres that let us in the middle of the island, the wheel was obviously in bad condition as very weary and foam came out of the hole . We could have sustained serious problems if the accent had happen on the highway. When the wheel was obviously old , they charged us for the service , the assistance, and the gas , completely uninterested in the danger they put us in . Do not hire here

Not impressed with their car rental service. Tried to charge us for an extra 20 Euro cleaning fee. Car was returned in average condition for a two week rental, see photo. I've rented many cars and never been asked to pay for extra cleaning. I have kids, pretty normal. Cleaning is normally included. Car had allot of body damage, poor rental standards. Very hard to locate their shuttle pickup at the airport, no desk, no sign.
