Absolutely fantastic rental car company. Arrived in lanzarote, quick pick up to rental company. From start to finish took about 15 minutes to get a car, they even gave us an upgrade and a car charger, the car was brand new. Lovely staff, wouldn't hesitate to book through this company again. Google maps connected quickly to the big screen in car. Even waze works there. Thank you for a great experience of hiring a car.
After landing you find your way to the first floor of the airport, on the parking lot you find the pick up point for the shuttle. Shuttle takes about 10 min if that. I rented through Sunny cars so no credit card needed. Got a great car, but good thing i looked up on youtube how to work a hybrid car..because they just gave you the key and left you to it. It was not very clear which entrance to take to bring car back..maybe a sign?
Rented a Hybrid Toyota Yaris, for eight days at the end of November in Lanzarote. The staff on pick up and drop off could not have been nicer or more friendly and the price was the best value out there. The car had less than 4,000 KM and was like new inside and out.They are a short minibus ride from the airport,would highly recommend !
The rental was very good value and there were no issues at all with the quality of the car. The shuttle service worked well, the staff were friendly and there wasn't much of a queue at pick up or drop off. I would however echo the concerns from other posters about the company seemingly deliberately not listing minor scratches on the initial rental agreement and then trying to charge customers for this. This exact thing happened to me - they found a minor scratch at drop off and said it was probably a cyclist or someone in a car park. Fortunately, I had read the reviews on this site beforehand and had taken a long video of the car at pick up which had caught the scratch so that I could prove it wasn't me. I picked the car up at night and drove it to under one of the big floodlights to take the video before leaving and would encourage others to do the same.
Car/rental itself was fine but you have to be very careful when taking over the car. They send you an email with pictures with supposedly all damages on the car. Even if it takes some time you should look at the car carefully and make sure that everything matches. We trusted the professional looking email/process and did not check our car good enough. The next day we noticed a rather big dent that could not possibly be missed by the agency employee taking back the car before us. We e-mailed the agency immediately but after returning the car they insisted on us paying the damage since it was not documented when we received the car. Considering they had documented a lot of other small scratches and damages but not the rather big one it felt like a bit of a setup to increase their fees...
Easy shuttle from/to the airport. Great value. Even gave us a free upgrade. Car was brand new - like a few hundred km on the clock. Staff were lovely too. No hassle on return
My feelings are a little mixed. The shuttle service was good, staff were generally friendly. They gave me a car which had many scratches and marks but I didn't care, I only wanted it to get to the accommodation. I then left the car parked for my entire stay before returning it. They randomly found two scratches on the underside of the rear bumper. I disputed this but having no evidence I couldn't do much. They said the would charge me the least amount they could which was 153e however other reviews here say 65e! Felt a bit shafted by this in honesty. Especially as that money isn't used to fix the scratches, they just pocket it. I rent cars regularly and have never once been charged. I will certainly look at different companies next time. Edit - they asked me to contact them which I did. Their response was two lines confirming what they charged me and ignoring my questions. Have reduced the rating to one star now for poor customer service. Will not use again.
This was the worst car rental experience of my life. I've rented cars during tens of trips all over the world and never had any issues, I've always treated the cars as my own. Everything went well until returning the car, they found a small scratch on the side mirror that's almost impossible to spot. It wasn't on the initial damage report when we took the car, and we didn't take photos of that small corner. It may have been there from the beginning, to be honest. The ridiculous part is charging us 65 euros for this extremely minor cosmetic detail. The worst are the employees, they know they're scamming you. They said that even if I sign or not it makes no difference because they've already charged me the damages. Say what? Everything this company does is super shady and I would've called customer protection if we didn't have a flight soon after the rental return.
