Decent experience at PMI Mallorca------except for the wait. I rented a car for 6 days on Mallorca at PMI though Sixt car rental agency. The service was great once I got to the counter . Unfortunately the line and the wait was longer than it should have been. I had reserved a car in advance and should have had a much smoother check-in with regards to wait time. Other than that, the service was good. English speaking was good. The car was superb--a diesel Audi---which was extremely good on fuel usage. Everything worked well on the car and the car seemed well services and relatively clean. Access to the rental car was easy---directly outside of the airport. Final take--good experience with Sixt except for the wait. I would rent again from Sixt.

Used Sixt at Majorca Airport in August 2023. The process of hiring a car was easy, originally booked via bookings a Audi A1 as it was my birthday, they gave me a choice of BMW 1 series or Audi A3 S-Line at no extra charge at the counter. Pricing was very reasonable for the time of the year and the car was clean and nice to drive. The car did have a few scratches and scuffs but all of that was mentioned in the email after receiving the keys at the desk. Returning the car was easy and hassle free, just make sure to fill up the tank before returning. Used my own hire excess policy. Make sure to take plenty of pictures and videos of the car before leaving the parking lot and check all the damage mentioned in the email. Would use Sixt at this location again without looking at other hire companies.

I'm not sure if this is a case of severe incompetence, or we are caught up in a concerted attempt to defraud customers, but either way, our hire hasn't even finished and it's caused way more stress and anxiety than should be caused when using one of the world's biggest car hire companies. The sorry tale so far: - As always when hiring a car we purchased third party excess insurance rather than paying the outrageous prices that the hire companies all want. - On getting to Palma airport's SIXT counter we were, as expected, subjected to the usual array of blackmail and lies, with the representative telling us that because my wife used a UK Civil Service staff discount to hire the car (the discount was around PS10 for a week's hire!), we would need to buy a special business insurance at EUR27/day. Despite having no knowledge of what our third party cover was, he told us that it wouldn't cover us. This is as blatant an attempt to mis-sell of an insurance product as I have ever seen and I'm pretty sure this is illegal in the UK, where we arranged the hire, and more than likely I'm the EU. - When we finally got it through to the rep that we would not purchase SIXT's insurance, he suddenly told us he was "upgrading" our car because the one he was going to give us had a lot of damage on it. - Upon getting the keys for the car, before even opening it, we inspected it and found at least 10 different areas of damage, which we videoed and photographed. - My wife returned to the counter to report this and was told it was all logged on the damage report that would be emailed to us and it was fine to take the car. The counter was no more than 20m from the car so it would have taken only a minute for the rep to come and take a look. - On arriving at our destination and finally being able to connect to the internet we discovered that no damage report had been sent. My wife emailed SIXT at Palma to inform them and received a response to say that there was no damaged logged on the car before we took it and that we should send our evidence to them. - We sent photos, videos and written details. The photos and videos are clearly taken at the airport within a couple of minutes of getting the keys. We received no response to this. - A couple of days later, we received a notice of claim for damage to the vehicle, in German (if you hadn't figured it out already, like SIXT, we are British). Bear in mind we haven't even finished our hire yet but are now spending our vacation time trying to sort out this awful company's mess. For the amusement of the reader, here are the items of damage that were obviously visible on this car with supposedly no damage: - scuff on driver side front wheel arch plastic - scuff on lower passenger side front bumper - marks on passenger side front wheel arch plastic - mark on passenger side wing mirror plastic surround - scratches on passenger side rear wheel arch - scratch in paint on passenger side rear quarter / rear bumper assembly - Various scuff marks on plastics on boot lip / upper rear bumper - various marks on rear driver side tyre - significant scratches in paint across rear quarter driver side - significant scratches in paint on rear driver side door Yet according to SIXT...the vehicle was PERFECT! See photos taken at the airport attached to this review. What a crying shame I can't award zero or negative ratings. No idea if a SIXT rep will read this, but if you do, I guarantee you that we will not let you defraud us - when we get home we will happily take legal action to recovery any money fraudulently taken from us and every photo, video and all correspondence will be submitted as evidence. And if you are a normal person who is thinking of using SIXT reading this and trying to decide who to hire from, I hope you are able to draw your own conclusions as to how you will be treated as a SIXT customer TO BE CONTINUED!!!

I gave this rating since everything went so smooth, and professional and the counter. The Spanish guy were fast to get us a car, and was very easy to find. We inspected the car before with one of their employees before I left the parking area, and made sure that all damages were reported. Deposit in my case was 300 euro which is OK. If deposit is too high, I will not rent car from, because I don't like the thought, that a company reserves/locks a high amount of money from your bank account. Excellent new cars available (more fun, better quality - not something you will find from local companies) I will definitely use Sixt again when visiting Spain/Europe. Best wishes from Denmark

Like many reviews on this site, renting from SIXT is a scam or outright theft. As a regular customer of SIXT, I turned to them for this new rental. No one conducts a walk-around inspection of the vehicle with you, either before or after the rental. The vehicle was picked up and parked in a closed property or private parking. I returned the car without suspecting that two weeks later, I would receive a demand to pay for scratches corresponding to bumper damage that could not have gone unnoticed if I had caused them. I provided explanations through their claims address, but to no avail they took the money with poor customer service. You think youre paying for a quality service, which is also more expensive than elsewhere, but you end up facing an agency that robs you. Avoid them at all costs.

Overall, there is nothing to complain about with Sixt rentals in Mallorca. When I picked it up, everything was explained to me in detail, the employee responsible was nice and helpful. Although he advised me to take out extended insurance, he didnt pressure me into it and responded with a simple No thanks! then that was done. The car model I actually booked wasnt available, but I was able to choose between two larger models (at no extra charge). The car was clean and all previous defects had already been documented. Both the pick up and drop off took less than 10 minutes. The final report with any new defects came on the same day and the deposit was quickly returned. So everything was really great, I can only recommend it!

Das Auto war sauber und alle vorherigen Mangel waren bereits dokumentiert. Sowohl die Abholung als auch die Ruckgabe haben weniger als 10 Minuten gedauert. Der abschliessende Bericht mit eventuellen neuen Mangeln kam noch am gleichen Tag und auch die Kaution wurde schnell zuruck gebucht. Also alles echt top, kann ich nur empfehlen!

For my first trip to the island I chose SIXT and I have to say that it couldnt have been better! Not only was the weather really great, contrary to the weather forecast, the first contact at the SIXT station was also really pleasant. The conversation with the German-speaking RSA was very, very pleasant. The option (upsell) was also offered WITHOUT pressure and WITHOUT expectations. I was offered a BMW 320d and took it. I saw a BMW M135i in the parking garage. When I asked the RSA whether I could possibly use this M135i for the same upsell, they agreed to do so after a short consultation. Personally, I was completely satisfied and the car couldnt have been better for the few days on the island. The SIXT employee was also friendly when returning the item (was greeted with a smile). After checking the vehicle, everything was accepted and after I signed on my smartphone, the handover protocol was sent directly to my email. All in all I am very satisfied and would like to thank the team. Thank you for the great car and the wonderful experience in Mallorca!

Als ich beim RSA nachfragte ob ich ggfs. diesen M135i fur das gleiche Upsell nehmen konnte, wurde dies nach kurzer Rucksprache zugesagt. Ich war personlich komplett zufrieden und das Auto hatte nicht besser sein konnen fur die paar Tage auf der Insel. Auch bei der Ruckgabe, war der SIXT Mitarbeiter freundlich (wurde mit einem Lacheln begrusst). Nach einem Check des Fahrzeuges wurde alles abgenommen und nach meiner Unterschrift auf dem Smartphone wurde das Ubergabeprotokoll auch direkt an meine E-Mail ubersendet. Rundum bin ich sehr zufrieden und bedanke mich an das Team. Vielen Dank fur das tolle Auto und die schone Erfahrung auf Mallorca!

Bad experience with Sixt Mallorca - airport Beware of hidden costs! I recently rented a car from Sixt in Mallorca and discovered on the final bill that I was charged additional fuel costs or refueling costs, even though I returned the car with a full tank. That really annoyed me, but it got even worse: I also found insurance on the bill that I never took out and that wasnt offered to me. It almost seems as if hidden fees are being used here in order to subsequently increase the total amount. I can only advise everyone to check the bill carefully and not simply rely on what the staff says. Take a close look at everything so you dont get ripped off too!

Ich kann nur jedem raten, die Rechnung genau zu uberprufen und sich nicht einfach auf die Aussagen des Personals zu verlassen. Schaut euch alles genau an, damit ihr nicht ebenfalls abgezockt werdet!

Be sure to take photos from all sides when handing over. There is no handover protocol and they are currently trying to cheat us. We brought the car back with a full tank, which was communicated and checked upon handover. After three days, I received a notification that the car still needed to be filled up, which is absolutely ridiculous. With this service you can also use one of the cheaper providers. We paid around 100 more for the 5 days at sixt because we were hoping for seriousness. Unfortunately that is not the case.

Wir haben den Wagen vollgetankt zuruck gebracht, was auch so kommuniziert und bei Ubergabe gepruft wurde. Nach drei Tagen kam dann aber eine Benachrichtigung, dass der Wagen noch vollgetankt werden musste, was absolut lacherlich ist. Bei diesem Service kann man auch einen der gunstigeren Anbieter nutzen. Fur die 5 Tage haben wir bei sixt rund 100 mehr bezahlt, da wir auf Seriositat gehofft hatten. Das ist leider nicht der Fall.

This message is aimed at YOUNG PERMITS. I went away this summer with my boyfriend for a week and we got an illogical ticket the only day we didnt use the car. The paper was under the windshield wiper for priority violation. To believe the people who give us tickets, they only care to follow us from Palma to the other end of the island to give us a ticket on the car. In addition, we received an email from the agency and more precisely 2 different emails with 2 reasons that are unrelated. In addition, the site for paying the PV does not work and the price of the PV increases, not to mention the fact that the agency takes money from our account as compensation . So apart from a scam from the agency I dont see what it could be. And according to the comments it happens to a lot of young people. So this is advice, be careful if you are, because getting a ticket for a priority violation on a day when you havent gone out and having to pay a lot of money for the car because you have a young license is not normal.

-US CUSTOMERS BEWARE- We received a damage bill for a slight scratch on the drivers side door (assume to be from another car). Despite having a photo of the door with no damage, they reviewed our claim rebuttal and denied it. Very hard to dispute a charge thousands of miles away back home. The charge was small so I assume they hoped we wouldnt fight it further. Thankfully, we had rental insurance through our credit card. Have had no issue with Sixt rentals in the US before with friends/family.
