Very friendly staff, we switched cars at the last minute and staff did so without a fuss. They had a variety of choices of vehicles at fair prices. Easy checkin and checkout.
Decent experience at PMI Mallorca------except for the wait. I rented a car for 6 days on Mallorca at PMI though Sixt car rental agency. The service was great once I got to the counter . Unfortunately the line and the wait was longer than it should have been. I had reserved a car in advance and should have had a much smoother check-in with regards to wait time. Other than that, the service was good. English speaking was good. The car was superb--a diesel Audi---which was extremely good on fuel usage. Everything worked well on the car and the car seemed well services and relatively clean. Access to the rental car was easy---directly outside of the airport. Final take--good experience with Sixt except for the wait. I would rent again from Sixt.
Rented by Sixt at Mallorca Airport in 2024 in September. The car is fully electric. Everything is great.
Very positive experience, the operator at the desk was super available and caring despite being late evening and we got a 300EUR discount for an upgrade as it was our first rent with Sixt. The car was not clean inside/outside but it can be solved with 20EUR just bringing it somewhere to clean

Used Sixt at Majorca Airport in August 2023. The process of hiring a car was easy, originally booked via bookings a Audi A1 as it was my birthday, they gave me a choice of BMW 1 series or Audi A3 S-Line at no extra charge at the counter. Pricing was very reasonable for the time of the year and the car was clean and nice to drive. The car did have a few scratches and scuffs but all of that was mentioned in the email after receiving the keys at the desk. Returning the car was easy and hassle free, just make sure to fill up the tank before returning. Used my own hire excess policy. Make sure to take plenty of pictures and videos of the car before leaving the parking lot and check all the damage mentioned in the email. Would use Sixt at this location again without looking at other hire companies.
I'm not sure if this is a case of severe incompetence, or we are caught up in a concerted attempt to defraud customers, but either way, our hire hasn't even finished and it's caused way more stress and anxiety than should be caused when using one of the world's biggest car hire companies. The sorry tale so far: - As always when hiring a car we purchased third party excess insurance rather than paying the outrageous prices that the hire companies all want. - On getting to Palma airport's SIXT counter we were, as expected, subjected to the usual array of blackmail and lies, with the representative telling us that because my wife used a UK Civil Service staff discount to hire the car (the discount was around PS10 for a week's hire!), we would need to buy a special business insurance at EUR27/day. Despite having no knowledge of what our third party cover was, he told us that it wouldn't cover us. This is as blatant an attempt to mis-sell of an insurance product as I have ever seen and I'm pretty sure this is illegal in the UK, where we arranged the hire, and more than likely I'm the EU. - When we finally got it through to the rep that we would not purchase SIXT's insurance, he suddenly told us he was "upgrading" our car because the one he was going to give us had a lot of damage on it. - Upon getting the keys for the car, before even opening it, we inspected it and found at least 10 different areas of damage, which we videoed and photographed. - My wife returned to the counter to report this and was told it was all logged on the damage report that would be emailed to us and it was fine to take the car. The counter was no more than 20m from the car so it would have taken only a minute for the rep to come and take a look. - On arriving at our destination and finally being able to connect to the internet we discovered that no damage report had been sent. My wife emailed SIXT at Palma to inform them and received a response to say that there was no damaged logged on the car before we took it and that we should send our evidence to them. - We sent photos, videos and written details. The photos and videos are clearly taken at the airport within a couple of minutes of getting the keys. We received no response to this. - A couple of days later, we received a notice of claim for damage to the vehicle, in German (if you hadn't figured it out already, like SIXT, we are British). Bear in mind we haven't even finished our hire yet but are now spending our vacation time trying to sort out this awful company's mess. For the amusement of the reader, here are the items of damage that were obviously visible on this car with supposedly no damage: - scuff on driver side front wheel arch plastic - scuff on lower passenger side front bumper - marks on passenger side front wheel arch plastic - mark on passenger side wing mirror plastic surround - scratches on passenger side rear wheel arch - scratch in paint on passenger side rear quarter / rear bumper assembly - Various scuff marks on plastics on boot lip / upper rear bumper - various marks on rear driver side tyre - significant scratches in paint across rear quarter driver side - significant scratches in paint on rear driver side door Yet according to SIXT...the vehicle was PERFECT! See photos taken at the airport attached to this review. What a crying shame I can't award zero or negative ratings. No idea if a SIXT rep will read this, but if you do, I guarantee you that we will not let you defraud us - when we get home we will happily take legal action to recovery any money fraudulently taken from us and every photo, video and all correspondence will be submitted as evidence. And if you are a normal person who is thinking of using SIXT reading this and trying to decide who to hire from, I hope you are able to draw your own conclusions as to how you will be treated as a SIXT customer TO BE CONTINUED!!!
I gave this rating since everything went so smooth, and professional and the counter. The Spanish guy were fast to get us a car, and was very easy to find. We inspected the car before with one of their employees before I left the parking area, and made sure that all damages were reported. Deposit in my case was 300 euro which is OK. If deposit is too high, I will not rent car from, because I don't like the thought, that a company reserves/locks a high amount of money from your bank account. Excellent new cars available (more fun, better quality - not something you will find from local companies) I will definitely use Sixt again when visiting Spain/Europe. Best wishes from Denmark
