I recently rented a car from K10 , and it was a frustrating from start to finish Firstly, the car I received had low oil, which led to a breakdown that caused us to lose an entire day of our holiday while waiting for a mechanic. This was incredibly frustrating and completely ruined our plans. To make matters worse, I paid extra for an automatic vehicle but was given a manual instead. This lack of attention to detail is unacceptable. Additionally, I noticed that the boot shelf was broken, which made it difficult to store our belongings securely I tried to address my concerns by sending two complaints--one via email and another through their website--but I've received no response. Additionally, contacting customer service was a challenge, as many representatives struggled to communicate in English. I would not recommend k10 based on this experience. It was truly disappointing and not what I expected from a reputable car rental service.
The supposedly cheap loss leader pricing of 82 EUR for seven (7) days including (fully comprehensive) insurance via the German Internet portal Check24 on the bill in the end became plus over 1000 EUR for five (5) days - regardless of the stress and the lost holiday pleasures. By the way, this is almost double what I previously paid for accommodation and food as well as flight, so for the vacation as a whole. After, as it turned out, an obviously defective rental car - as a "generous, free of charge" upgrade a black Jeep Renegade, license plate 1118 MBV, because my actually booked and reserved car had already been rented - had been foisted on me, where electronics and engine failed after a short time, I was then charged the towing costs for it. Due to the damage I suffered, as a result of which I desperately waited for the tow truck next to the motorway for almost four hours at night, the rental period was shortened by a full two days, apart from lost holiday enjoyment and my potential claims for damages. Instead of even rudimentarily accommodating me, a week later it was the staff who claimed a presumed previous damage in the form of a scratch on the left (!) exterior mirror in the amount of over EUR500 + 21% VAT. The height of impudence and pure cynicism is the additional fee charged by the rental company for refueling after the defective car has been towed. The generous all-round protection a la "reimbursement of the deductible" advertised by German Check24 is nothing but a con trick at this point, because towing costs, as it quickly turned out on the phone at the Check24 "Personal Emergency Hotline", are excluded from the insurance cover. I would like to emphasize that in the past I have not had anywhere comparably shocking experiences with any of the many rentals in Spain, not even via the Check24 platform, as with this car rental in Mallorca. I can therefore not recommend this provider in particular, but neither Check24 in general, and I will not book again via this platform, although I have used the Check24 travel center a lot in the past and up to date. In my opinion, K*10 Mobility is at least a dubious, if not criminal company, in which it is better not to set foot without the accompaniment of a Spanish lawyer. The fraud is systematic. I would therefore like to call the police on the spot. The employee in question, "Carolina", who sold me a broken car, as well as Senor Lozano, who gave me the bill for this, I sincerely wish that each of their past and future actions will result in an adequate response in their lives.
K10 canceled our fully paid reservation without notice, because we had reserved the car too early (from 10 am, while our flight arrived in the evening). They had all our details, including flight number, mail, phone number, but never bothered to check or use any of those when we didn't show up at 10 am. They just canceled the fully paid booking and we had to pay 40 euros to have the reservation restored or make a new booking for over 300 euros when we arrived that evening with the flight we had stated on the booking. Apart from that the car was fine and the check out went smoothly. But with such a lack of customer centric service you don't deserve more than two stars as a company.
We had a very smooth experience. The agents were nice and professional. No drama. The car was new and in a good state. Very similar to what was stated when booked. Time spent picking the car up and dropping it off was minimal. They also stated that the car had some scratches in advance, so we could note them and take pictures. Only thing, we struggled to find the shuttle at the airport as we had to ask around.
Everything was good if you know what to expect Make sure you have a proper Credit Card, not Debit. Be ready they will try to sell you extra insurance, you probably don't need it and already have everything covered. Mind the office working hours, if you want to get or return your car behind these hours - make sure you talked to the manager and they agree first. Other than that everything went smoothly, there is a toilet, A/C, seats in the office while you're waiting for a car. The return was fast, 2 minutes. Shuttle every 20-30 minutes, the ride was about 10 minutes long.
We rented a Fiat 500 hybrid for 10 days. At the airport despite explanations we had, we couldn't find the K10 shuttle. There are no signs anywhere and no one waiting for you when you arrive. After arriving by TAXI, we were served by the young lady with long brown hair gathered in a braid, she was not nice, and didn't explain well why and what we had to compulsorily pay. She imposed on us a premium insurance of 330EUR including 10EUR per day because the driver was under 25, the other solution was to pay 1200EUR and then maybe we would get it back if nothing happened (like bail), very confusing! I asked her if the driver could be changed and she said it wasn't possible. Payments are mandatory to be made with the driver's credit card. The car was not as well cleaned as others have written in reviews, there were already many dents on the body. We returned the car full of fuel as it said in the contract. The guy who did the check on the return got into the car and I don't know what he had done with his tablet but, magically the fuel level had dropped and he said the car wasn't full. After going for gas again, the level was still the same. Something was not working properly. At the same day of the return, I noticed that another family was quite controversial because there was a dent under the front bodywork. For the return shuttle we had to wait at least half an hour. I recommend that you return the car on time and not at the last minute because you might be late to the airport. I recommend going to another car rental company!
Rented a car here for a week. Got the best price on the market. The car was quite fresh, in a really good condition. They did not insist on any extra insurance, even gave me some instructions on how to behave if I were planning to use my own insurance for the deductible part. In addition to the deposit they also held an extra deposit for fuel, around 125 euro. Check in was pretty fast, but drop off was much faster and absolutely hassle-free. The shuttle-bus goes every 15-20 minutes next to the arrival exit. All the money was released in just one day, which is amazing compared to many other rentals. In case you want to do pickup/drop off no in operated hours, you need to pay extra 40 eur, but yes, that is in your contact. Most of the negative reviews are based on the fact, that people just do not read their contract, but everything is there. You do need a credit card in your name, working hours as well as the 40eur policy are also there. Just read the contract.
I can only comment on my experience but the shuttle bus was prompt and the driver was friendly. When we got to the car lot, the lady serving us (no queue) was lovely and we got our car very quickly. The car seemed very new, some small chips / scratches on it but they didn't try to blame us for them when we dropped the car back off. There's a couple of vending machines on site which seemed really good value for money but we didn't have anything so I can't comment further.
