Simply the simple, easy to rent a vehicle from Hiper. Not too expensive. One thing that was a bit off, you have to pay with credit card or master card, but can't with Debit card. You can with debit cards too but then you have to deposit 1000 Euro. Overall, I am satisfied with Hiper Rent A Car.
Very well. Hired through sunnycars via the Dutch ANWB. There is a shuttle service from the airport to the office. We had a little trouble finding the right place, luckily the Hiper vans stand out with the yellow and purple. It could be us, but a little clearer description to the pick up point would be nice. The priority service worked well, we were called before others who were already waiting at the office. We switched cars 2 days later, because it turned out we had a massive leak at the door, resulting in a soaking wet car. We were helped quickly and without hidden costs or issues. Recommend.
I was generally happy with the service. The shuttle bus was waiting when we got to the airport and the ride to the pick up point was only a short distance. The pick up with QR code worked fine and saved time. The only issue to keep in mind is on the return date we had a fairly early flight and the drop off station only opens at 8:00. There was a large queue of cars and people waiting to get in. This is probably only an issue with early flights, but Hiper should consider opening their offices earlier. Otherwise highly recommended.
I first hired a car from Hiper in 2015 after a poor experience with another car hire company. As we have a home on the island, we hire a car probably 4 to 5 times a year. I have always used Hiper. The booking process online is easy as is payment. I like the way the system doesn't change over the years and the winter pricing especially is very good. There is no specific loyalty discount scheme but I do know that I have been given discounts as a previous customer. I have also been recently upgraded on the vehicle I hired which was much appreciated. Last week when I was there. I even had 'Priority' put against my name but not really sure what it meant. We made an online reservation months before without any upfront payment. The price was fair and the Fiat Panda was in very good condition (quite new). You need to use a credit card, otherwise you'll have to deposit 1000EUR. With a credit card they will only hold a deposit amount only for the fuel. When bringing back the car we were out of time and didn't get to refuel somewhere in a 5 km radius, the tank was 6 litres of gasoline less. They used a fixed price for those 6 litres (very close to the real price) which was fine by me and deducted from the deposit. What I didn't know is that you have to hold on your last receipt so you can show them at the end, maybe they forgot to tell me before. All in all it was a good experience, they are fair and prices are reasonable. I recommend!
We've never had any problems with this company, until our most recent trip. Given a very very dated car and not offered an alternative. Lots of problems with it and to cap it all off, charged EUR30 when we returned the car for a 'missing antenna'. I took photos of everything on the car but the antenna, which I don't believe was ever there. I take some responsibility for the charge because this is another company you can't trust. I asked staff if they had CCTV (which the signs across the site reported), but they said they didn't. Advice to others - document every single detail of the car when you pick it up (definitely an error on my part - despite taking a photo of every panel, inside etc). Don't accept an old car. It's hard to know who else to use in Majorca, but from this experience I probably won't use this company again. A real shame.
Be Cautious! Terrible experience. They took a deposit of 1000 euros from us because we didn't have a credit card and an additional 93 euros for fuel deposit! This makes absolutely no sense to me. We left our passport number and a copy of our driver's license, signed the rental agreement, and even provided the address of our stay in Mallorca! The car was supposedly fully insured, or maybe it wasn't. The full rental amount was charged immediately, so I absolutely don't understand the 1000 euros deposit! Additionally, when returning the vehicle, you have to show them a receipt from a gas station located no more than 5 km from the drop-off point. All of this is very unpleasant and stressful. This is the first time we have experienced something like this. They should definitely be avoided! And one more thing, all the positive reviews they have come from accounts with no more than 3 reviews, so you know what that's about. Reply to Hiper Rent A Car The point of CASCO insurance is for the car to be fully insured so that the user doesn't have to worry about someone scratching their car, attempting to break into it, or breaking the mirror or window, and so on. When I asked if the car was fully insured, you said it was. You could have simply asked me to pay extra for full insurance, and that would have been it. A deposit of 1000 euros makes absolutely no sense! When picking up the vehicle, I didn't check if the lock worked with the key, since the car has a remote central lock, but when I returned it, your employee specifically checked this. Thankfully, everything worked fine. All in all, I repeat again, if your vehicles are insured, there's no point in asking for such a high deposit. And one more thing, it makes no difference whether the deposit is left in cash or via a credit card, which you can charge for any desired amount. All in all, I wish you success in your business, but you have definitely lost me as a customer with this. I believe that the foundation of business is trust, and you obviously don't trust your customers, so I don't believe in your good intentions either. I wish you all the best.
Professional service. Just beware that if you prepay your online booking, you won't be refund in case you need to change the dates because of a cancelled flight for example. That being the service is excellent, cars all have aircon, there's a bus every 10 minutes that pick you up at the airport and drop you back there. The agency is mint and you can trust this company. If you check in online, you can get the car's key by scanning a QR Code that you receive ones your credentials have been verified.
