The baths have been under construction for centuries, and the booths they have put in are to be returned through the arches that they produce
July 19, half an hour of stop on my trip and I find that they are doing work in all the bathrooms at the station and the solution is some portable toilets that are almost impossible to enter because of the bad smell they give off with almost 40 degrees of temperature. temperature on the street. It has been an vomiting experience.
It's a shame, I've been waiting in Trujillo for almost 1 hour and the bus to Caceres hasn't arrived, nor has anyone picked up the phone to give an explanation.
Great, punctual buses, with benches and in case you have a child, there is a machine there for him to ride, there is a cafeteria and a little store, the little store has saved me on some occasions hehe, all very cozy, I highly recommend it.
A normal station where the buses that go to Caceres, Madrid, Badajoz stop, it has a cafeteria where you can have a drink and from there you can access the taxi rank and the train station.
A few days ago I had to make a trip of about 40 km and my idea was to use the auto services, well, I went on the website and looked for the trip in question, said trip had a price of 3.01 euros, I clicked on said route and I see an increase for the management fee of 1.20 euros, the same as on a 15 euro ticket, 40% on the value of the ticket for a management that I am doing. That they charge you something for the management, well, (to amortize the computer program, which should already be more than amortized), but what, 10% and it also seems like a lot to me. Even so, I continued with the purchase of the ticket and what was my surprise when they once again increased the price of the ticket by another 1.53 euros for travel insurance, seriously? Are you going to charge me the same amount for travel insurance for a 40km trip as for a 150km trip? and also for a route that you have to take whether there are travelers or not, because it catches you in the process. In the end, the ticket that started at 3.01 euros ended up at 5.74 euros, for 40km. I imagine it's company policy, but if they had set that price in the first place, they wouldn't have wasted my time, which is another thing that bothered me. I understand that the company's staff is not to blame for anything and that I also know that they do their job very well, I congratulate them for that. By the way, they came for me and it was more profitable for me.
The entrance to the station from Madrid and Seville is very quick and uncomplicated even though they are on two-way streets and cross the railway line. The station itself looks well-kept and is not too old, although it is evident that it is a transit point due to the discoloration of the building itself. There is a cafeteria available that offers rations and sandwiches at the usual price of a passing place (a can of soda EUR1.80 and a sandwich EUR4.50), a couple of kiosks selling newspapers and various sweets (the price of which is almost double that in a supermarket or kiosk outside the station, but gluttony is what is pressing....) And at Christmas they usually sell lottery tickets. The ladies' bathrooms could be a little cleaner, since as the day goes by the floor becomes stickier and toilet paper ceases to exist. As a transit place, it meets basic needs.
The buses are comfortable but some drivers are not very pleasant. Additionally, they have a poor and pretty bad loyalty program. They charge a somewhat exaggerated handling fee for online purchases. I understand that the company should renew itself in that sense and offer real advantages for those of us who use the service frequently, just as other bus companies do.
