Do not use Avis. Painfully slow service. 'Quick Pass' was not quick - waited over an hour for the keys. The day before travel I received an email asking for possible additional documents / info (2nd credit card, a driving license number, proof of address) which wasn't mentioned on any other emails / docs. Shuttle to the car rental place was not signposted from the airport. Shuttle was not regular. 1 member of staff to collect us from the airport and give 3 people cars - everything seemed to take ALOT longer than it should.
Standard Avis office and service. Good but not necessarily quick. Lots of other reviews mention needing to get a taxi from the airport. There is no need for this: ring the office if they're not already waiting in a people carrier at the airport and they will come to collect you.
The pick up car lot is 5km from the airport and they don't provide a shuttle service out of hours and are closed on a Sunday. This resulted in me having to find a taxi and pay EUR20 for that taxi back to the airport, none of which would have been possible without the help of a really nice lady who worked at the adjoining petrol station to the Avis/Budget car lot. My advice is to book with a company that is located at the airport.
Dreadful service. Had to wait 30 minutes at the airport in hot sun for the shuttle bus. Heavy pressure at the desk to buy rip-off insurance. Not told they would be closed when we returned - despite information from Holiday Autos. No information about taxis, but luckily assisted by really helpful garage assistant. My complaint to Avis has remained unanswered two weeks later.

I wish I'd read the reviews before booking. No shuttle bus on a Sunday. Told to book taxi myself by office staff, given numbers to call. Taxi companies don't speak English, I did try with my pigeon Spanish but to no avail. Eventually managed to make myself understood. Had to pay EUR20 for taxi.
Would not recommend. No shuttle to the airport from drop off. Sketchy petrol station with questionable drivers doing donuts. Thought I was going to be murdered. Had to pay EUR20 for a taxi to the airport. Only saving grace was the taxi numbers posted in the window, but was a stressful situation to find yourself in before a flight, as other option is walking 1 hour with your bags. Use another company based at the airport.
