There is a Cicar desk at the port, but there was nobody there, even though they know what time people arrive. Maybe if you have prebooked a car, they deliver it there by the time ferry arrives. Even if so, there was no information at the desk and calling them was useless. If you get in a similar situation - firstly, prebook a car, secondly, take taxi to Jandia Cicar office. It was 10EUR.
Le bureau n'est pas facile a trouver : il faut en fait depasser la compagnie Fred Olsen pour apercevoir le batiment dans lequel le guichet se trouve (gare maritime). ATTENTION : le guichet est vide et ferme : il faut deposer la voiture sur les places indiquees << cicar >> a cote de la station essence puis deposer les cle dans une boite a clef un peu cachee au guichet.
The office is not easy to find: you actually have to go past the Fred Olsen company to see the building in which the counter is located (maritime terminal). PLEASE NOTE: the counter is empty and closed: you must leave the car in the places marked "cicar" next to the gas station then place the keys in a key box a little hidden at the counter.
Quando un cliente prenota un'auto con carburante full/full non dovete dargli un'auto col carburante a 3/4! Soprattutto se dopo neanche 5km l'indicatore della benzina e gia scesa! Se volete guadagnare di piu basta aumentare il prezzo giornaliero dell'auto e non prendere in giro la gente! Grazie, Saludos
When a customer books a car with full/full fuel you must not give him a car with 3/4 fuel! Especially if after less than 5km the petrol indicator has already dropped! If you want to earn more just increase the daily price of the car and don't make fun of people! Thank you, Saludos
MIelismy przyjemnosc korzystac z tej wypozyczalni samochodow i moge ja zarekomendowac z cala pewnoscia. Rezerwacja online prosta i szybka. Rezerwowalismy budzetowy samochod klasy A a otrzymalismy darmowy upgrade na pojazd klasy B z automatyczna skrzynia biegow i bogatym wyposazeniem. Samochod byl praktycznie nowy, w dobrym stanie i byl czysty. Procedura odbioru samochodu bardzo prosta. Malo formalnosci. Co najwazniejsze- firma nie pobiera kaucji a pojazd jest ubezpieczony od wszelkich ryzyk.
We had the pleasure of using this car rental company and I can recommend it with full confidence. Online booking is simple and fast. We booked a budget class A car and received a free upgrade to a class B vehicle with automatic transmission and extensive equipment. The car was practically new, in good condition and clean. The car pickup procedure is very simple. Few formalities. Most importantly, the company does not charge a deposit and the vehicle is insured against all risks.
Extremely disappointing and problematic. We have reserved a car a month in advance. Arriving at the place no one at the office. We arrived at 2pm but the office hours ended at 1pm. The reservation was made for 1.30pm. They only contacted us two hours before that they close at 1PM so onviously saying they know there is a reservation and we won't get it. Still from a nearby office we have been told that if there is a reservation someone will show up. After one hour still no one ! Impossible to join anyone by phone at any Cicar number. We are in the middle of nowhere and forced to take a cab (95EUR) to the airport to the only open office of the island ! I can't describe how terrible service that is ... and we had such a nice experience with the first rental in Tenerife.
No staffing in office by default so opening hours are not applicable, only key drop off or pick up when reservation is made in advance.
