We went in to see about renting a car. The staff seemed uninterested in assisting us. To busy looking at there phones. They wanted over 500$usd deposit even with full coverage insurance for old cars at 50$ a day. My feeling was that the deposit would never be returned so we took a bus instead and I'm glad we did.!!!

We had a good experience with them. We were reluctant to rent a car because there are so many tourist traps but we decided to give it a go after getting them recommended by our host. We needed a car immediately (no notice), they accomodated the request and got out of there with the car. Everything worked fine (AC, lights, etc). We returned the car and after a quick check the deposit was reimburshed as agreed. No extra hidden costs or surprises, everything as we agreed beforehand. Only thing to complain, if any, was that the car was old and lacking many modern features but mechanically worked fine. I would advice to do a thorough check of the car with the guy before taking it out, marking with him all existing defects, in case anything its missed. They are honest.

Really good experience renting with veloz. We were initially a bit nervous having never rented in Mexico. We got our deposit back in full, the staff were really friendly and helpful (tips on where to go etc) and the car was in good condition. Not sure how price compares to other rentals who were sold out but it was cheaper than going on tours

The Service was good and we received a nice Car from the polite employees. Unfortunately we had a flat tyre and Just changed it without hesitation. When i dropped the Car of, i was informed that i needed to pay for a new tyre since it was not repairable for a price i could not comprehend. The Gentlemen managed to offer a more comprehensive price and everything worked Out. I assume that it was a communicative Problem from both sides because we were Not informed that we needed to inform them immediately if anything Happens.

We filled up some more just to be sure that we wouldnt have another help we have almost an empty tank experience. They never returned the money from the tank to us and also did everything they could to make it difficult for us. Giving cash and credit card back at the store was not possible, could not be done until the following day. By then we already went to Campeche. Then, on the contrary, it could only be done physically and not online and only 1/3 of the money. After that they never responded. Nos dieron un deposito casi vacio por lo que tuvimos que repostar despues de una hora. Aqui repostamos un poco mas para asegurarnos de que no tendriamos otra experiencia de ayuda a tener el deposito casi vacio. Nunca nos devolvieron el dinero del deposito y ademas hicieron todo lo posible por ponernoslo dificil. Devolver el efectivo y la tarjeta de credito en la tienda no fue posible, no se pudo hacer hasta el dia siguiente. Para entonces ya nos fuimos a Campeche. Luego, por el contrario, solo se podia hacer fisicamente y no por internet y solo 1/3 del dinero. Despues de eso nunca respondieron. En general una muy mala experiencia y definitivamente no rentaria un auto aqui.
