My husband and I reserved a car and they tried to scam us into paying for insurance and place a hold amount on card. Avoid the headache!!!
One of the best experiences with car rentals in Merida! The owner/manager speaks English very well, is very kind and I was able to rent an SUV for the entire month for a very competitive price. No surprise fees and I was able to extend for an additional 2 weeks as well. Returning the car was quick and easy - I will definitely be using them again!
Amazing experience! Someone was waiting for me outside the airport when I arrived. I got to the car rental place and was out of there with my vehicle in less than 15 minutes. Definitely will be booking with them again
Never ever rent a car from this company. I rented the car via Expedia and payed in there the full coverage and at the moment I picked up the car they wanted a deposit of 7 to 10k USD. In order to reduce the deposit to 800 USD I needed to pay to them their full cover insurance which is an extra. Avoid at all cost
It's just not worth it. This company will lure you with their cheap up front costs just to force you into paying quadruple the price for insurance, unless you're okay with a 12k hold on your account. I also received a 7/8 tank that dropped down to 6/8 10 minutes after I drove it off the lot. When I returned it later that day with a 6/8 tank they charged me $250 pesos. I also spent a full hour and a half checking in to receive the car in the first place. Anywhere else will be better worth your time and money.
It's a scam. They won't give you the car unless you buy very expensive insurance, even if you've already paid for basic insurance. We went to Hertz and got a much cheaper deal.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It's a front for America Car Rental - because they have such an awful reputation under that company name they created this "NU car" business. Arrived and was told I had to pay $200 more than my appointment because my international insurance CC plan wasn't sufficient. Also I made a reservation months ahead and they charged my card for the full amount at that date. I had to jump through hoops to have the money returned to me - the company initially offered a "credit."
Nu car rental is scam and this address is not correct. We tried to find the office and they don't have one. You need to pick up the car from America car rental, and when we arrived they told us that there is no cars left. SCAM, STAY AWAY!!!!!!
