Guys do not go with this company. Don't go with this company, they will scam you trying to get money out of you, That you are going to give them because you are arriving and you need to move around the city. Their prices are exorbitant, very very high. Well most of the car companies in Mexico are doing this; they will charge a lot of money for insurance. Which yes you may need it but is just way too much. Avis have better deals but not the best ones either. Look for something local( usually local companies have better options) that, is better than these companies. I was charged $1,300 dollars just for the 7-day insurance deal. That's crazy they said you will get a refund if nothing happens to the car. That's the scam. You will never going to see that money again. The Government need's to start looking into this guys, and not just this company all of them. We are coming to work, have fun or wherever reason, this company and companies are taking advantage of the area and all the people arriving every single day.
After reading the poor reviews about the extra insurance etc, I was extra careful to book all the necessary insurances in advance to avoid the last-minute charges. Therefore, the entire process was very smooth. Both pickup and drop off (shoutout to 'Mar' for the pleasant interactions) were easy, but both times we noticed that the employee was alone and overworked. Therefore it took a bit longer than maybe desirable if you're in a hurry. If you adjust your expectations, this branch of europcar clearly comes out on top of most other branches anywhere we've been. Keep it up!
I booked a car online for $110. When I arrived it took about 30 minutes to tell me I needed to pay a deposit of nearly $17,000 USD because I didn't want the collision waiver which would triple the rental cost. A total waste of time and bait-and-switch
I went through the same thing as Jamin! I wish I could've read his review first! The lady acted very new and she ended up adding extra insurance when it was not needed, saying that the price of the deposit would go down! A complete rip off! I'll be taking legal action against this company for false pretenses and information! I booked with them a few times before with no issues! Do not be taken advantage of folks! Go somewhere else! Deceptive practices will get this company shut down!
Trying to sell us a broken child seat. Even showing a instruction video of a totally different child seat..No effort in helping us to find a solution... We even found a working car seat at the neighbour store but they didn't allow us using that. We could get a refund and charge us money because of it.
Do not recommend at all. 1. They sent the wrong pickup address in our rental confirmation email, so we wasted about an hour going to the wrong office, then waiting while the staff in one office tried to get those in another to pick up so he could locate our car 2. We had booked a manual. When we picked the car up, we noticed on the paperwork it was an automatic. 3. We had been quoted a 'total price' on booking, but on pickup were told it would cost over 60% more than the expected price, because of 'legally required' 3rd part insurance. Only when I pushed the manager did he admit that other companies do not require this, it's just a Europcar policy.
