I lost the car keys. They charged me total with 820EUR which i paid in the office (the car was parked in their own garage- but they charged me with towing as well, however they have a second key like everyone else, so it was not needed) than a few days later they took 680EUR off from my account without any reason. I don't even know how is it possible to take off money unauthorized- since it's not even legal, and i paid already in the office the costs of the damage. Be aware its a scam! Still didn't got my money back. Even the 820EUR is overpriced, but with taking off money from my account they crossed a line.

I rented a car from Hertz for two months. After returning the car, I have been waiting for the deposit refund for two months. Customer support told me to wait 30 days, but even after two months, I still haven't received the refund. I do not recommend this company!

Worst rental company ever You think you buy quality, but you don't. You are better off using any cheap rental company. This is for Hertz / Thrifty Gran Canaria, 1. We received an old and scratched car 2. When returning they tried to find scratches which were not in the protocol. Which is easy if you have over a dozen scratches on the car Never again

STAY AWAY FROM THIS AGENCY!!! I rented a car and was given a hybrid vehicle. I rode it for less than 10 kms and the car started shaking and making terrible noises. I was told the car was fine when they had it and that I basically had to call a tow number and wait for them to take care of everything. After 3 or 4 hours of waiting I was driven back to the agency and given a new vehicle. I have to mention the agency was already closed but the agent waited until I arrived. As I always do, i did a tour of the vehicle and took pictures of every angle. The agent told me the car had more body issues than other vehicles but not to worry that I would receive a full report. Last night I returned the vehicle and the problems started: 1) the agent said I was one hour late EVEN though I had spent 3-4 hours with a tow truck and driving back to the agency due to a faulty vehicle that could have caused a terrible accident on the road 2) that I had an accident on the passenger door and that the accident wasn't there when he gave me the car. Bottom line, i have pictures taken minutes after I received that car that show the exact door incident was already there when they gave me the vehicle. Also I was not only charged 400 euros for something I didn't caused but I was also charged for an extra rental day because I was one hour late to return the vehicle when in reality I dealt with a 3-4 hour waste of my time issue due to a damaged engine. People rent from Hertz because they don't want to deal with these issues. I wanted to deal with a professional company and am ready to pay a bit more for that. As mentioned initially, STAY AWAY or you might REGRET it. Now I need to waste even more time trying to recover 405 euros for something that wasn't even my fault. BTW, here's the picture of the car I've taken together with 6-7 others minutes after they gave me this car.

Disgusting situation! We could make a whole reservation online to have a car, but at the moment of arriving here they told that oh sorry you can't get a car because you are only 20 and not 21. We reserved a hotel already and bpught the tickets to another city so we loose a lot of money because of them They didn't mention anything about the age. Scandalous!

Service is nice, but a lot of hidden costs. I subscribed for the 'Super Cover' on the advice of the salesperson at the counter. He told me it was EUR66. When I got the invoice, it went up to EUR80 and when I called to ask why, they said it was because of the taxes. I don't remember anything about the taxes when I agreed to the insurance. And even on the contract, it is intentionally vague so people don't notice it. The insurance ended up costing more than the rental itself.
