Price offered on site was triple than online so we had to book online in the store. You could on'y book online with 2 hours ahead and staff refused to give us car earlier because it was booked online just to clearly make a point. Ridiculous and bad service. So never go onsite and book online. Shame because Malaga airport europcar service is so good.

Ready to ruin your day? Dial up EuropCar. The archetypical large and uncaring company. They captured my booking incorrectly and confirmed at a rate. Then reneged in the agreed price and deal to try and charge me EUR500 more. Avoid at all costs.

I don't normally leave reviews but I couldn't let this one go . Rented a car from Marbella , and had to put down the 100EUR security deposit (no issue here) The car given given with 2/8 fuel and was returned with 4/8 fuel. Upon returning the car at the airport we were told all was in order , car was fine , fuel etc. It's now been over a month and security deposit has not been returned . Europcar are saying that the car originally had 6/8 fuel which is a complete lie , and are now saying the 100EUR is now being used as a re fuelling surcharge. This is totally dishonest and unfair , and now after 5 days of trying to contact and get this resolved , we are being ignored.

It is a SCAM. TOOK MONEY AND DIDN'T PROVIDE A CAR! I ordered a car hire and paid in full online. After few hours I received email fro EUROPCAR that my car is not available and because I ordered over Internet there will be no refund!!! The entire reservation is paid and it will not be refunded. They deliberately publish car offers online that are at very attractive price and they know in advance order will not be fulfilled. And they simply keep the money.

I have reserved a car for a long term, specifically 150 days at the Maria Zambrano office in Malaga, I pay the amount, they give me a contract for one month and they tell me that they will send me the invoice every month and they will inform me of the day of each month to make the payment that will be direct debited to my account. They charge me a deposit of 200 and everything is correct in principle. 3 months later I am leaving my daughters school and I see a man who is taking the car, I stop him, he gets out of the car and tells me that I have stolen this car, he tells me that he belongs to the civil guard, he does not identify himself and Long story short, he leaves me stranded in the middle of the street with my childrens two car seats and bags. I dont understand anything! I called the company, no one has notified me that they were going to pick up the car. They say that my contract had already ended days ago, after several long calls to the company where they referred me to various departments, no one says anything specific; I ask if they have sent someone to pick up the vehicle. They tell me that the car has been reported for misappropriation. They have called me, sent messages, emails and a burofax. I have not received anything, only a call that I have returned to ask to regularize the situation. , I tell them that if I owe something please charge it immediately to my account and they tell me that I cannot make payments over the phone but they do not give me the option to make a transfer nor do they tell me to go to the office, they withhold a small initial amount from me and They say it is to authorize the renewal. The following month they withhold the renewal money again and I understand that everything is in order. When I go to the office to clarify everything, I present the payment receipts and ask if anything is owed, they give me the paid invoices and an additional charge of 125 for special cleaning, 30 for report, 300 for collection 600 for administrative expenses, 47 for fuel and so on in total approximately 1731.14 including VAT. Im still in shock, I dont understand anything, it has been a very violent situation when you have paid and then they tell me that the contract had expired in September but I had no idea! Nobody notified me in advance but according to them they have sent a burofax that I have never received and they have tried to communicate. I hope that all this is proven since a misunderstanding, poor communication or tricks to overcharge do not justify the treatment of the consumer. In my opinion, form and substance should not be lost and a civilized solution is always better before blaming a person for theft with slander. I believe I deserve decent treatment and transparent service. I am very outraged not only by the forms but by the lack of transparency. Let each one judge by their own experience, this is my humble opinion and I hope it can help so that there are no abuses of this type.

Me cobran un deposito de 200 y todo en principio todo correcto. 3 meses despues voy saliendo del colegio de mi hija y veo un Senor que se esta llevando el coche lo paro, se baja del coche y me dice que yo he robado este coche, me dice que es de la guardia civil, no se identifica y para resumir me deja tirada en medio de la calle con las dos sillas de coche de mis hijos y bolsas. Yo no entiendo nada! llamo a la compania nadie me ha avisado que iban a recoger el coche. Dicen que mi contrato ya habia terminado hace dias, despues de varias y largas llamadas a la empresa en donde me derivan con varios departamentos nadie dice nada en concreto; pregunto si ellos han enviado a alguien para recoger el vehiculo me dicen que el coche esta denunciado por apropiamiento indebido que me han llamado, enviado mensajes, emails y un burofax yo no he recibido nada tan solo una llamada que he devuelto para pedir regularizar la situacion, les digo que si debo algo por favor lo carguen inmediatamente en mi cuenta y me dicen que no puedo hacer pagos telefonicamente pero tampoco me dan opcion de hacer una transferencia ni me dicen que me acerque a la oficina, me retienen una pequena cantidad inicial y dicen que es para autorizar la renovacion. El mes siguiente vuelven a retener el dinero de la renovacion y entiendo que todo esta en regla. Cuando voy a la oficina para aclarar todo, presento los justificantes de pago y pregunto si se debe algo, me dan las facturas pagadas y una adicional por cargo de 125 por limpieza especial, 30 euros por reporte, 300 euros por recogida 600 por gastos administrativos, 47 por combustible y asi sucesivamente en total aprox 1731,14 incluido el IVA. Yo aun estoy en shock, no entiendo nada, ha sido una situacion muy violenta mas cuando has pagado y luego me dicen que el contrato habia vencido en Septiembre pero yo no tenia idea! Nadie me aviso previamente pero segun ellos han enviado un burofax que nunca he recibido y se han tratado de comunicar. Espero que todo esto se compruebe ya que un malentendido, una mala comunicacion o trucos para cobrar de mas no justifican el trato al consumidor. En mi opinion, las formas y el fondo no se deben perder y una solucion civilizada siempre es mejor antes de culpar a una persona de robo con injurias. Creo que merezco un trato digno y un servicio transparente. Estoy muy indignada no solo por las formas sino por la falta de transparencia. Que cada uno juzgue por su propia experiencia, esta es mi humilde opinion y ojala pueda servir para que no existan abusos de este tipo.

Excellent service from the girls who run the office, but terrible service from the customer service offices. 2 and a half months waiting for a 500 euro deposit to be returned for a car used for 2 days. Every time I went to the office and they gave me a new excuse on my mobile phone with customer service, they gave me we have to wait I cant do anything we will have to wait a few more days ignoring the topic as if they werent the ones they were talking about. I PAID for a service and I had to BOTHER to get my money back after almost 3 months of excuses. Last time I used Europcar.

Cada vez que iba a oficina y me pasaban por movil con atencion al cliente una excusa nueva me ponian toca esperar no puedo hacer nada habra que esperar unos dias mas desentendiendose del tema como si no fueran ellos a los que les PAGUE un servicio y tuve que MOLESTAR para que me devuelvan mi dinero luego de casi 3 meses de excusas. They wont let my mother rent a car and they cant say why. They tell me to call the customer service number but they leave me on hold for 10 minutes and they dont answer. We have also had to report them to consumer for the attention and poor service they offer: we made a reservation online and then they did not give us the car, having to reserve on the site with another company and having to claim for months the refund of the money paid with advance. In short, a wonderful company.
